There was a problem with some testing that was taking place that I believe has caused this.  We're looking into what exactly happened.

No VIP for sure, but it is worth tag points.

Pie... this problem dates back to even round 7 at least.

I suspect there is a issue with the exact timing of the event.

I would suggest looking for a memory flaw... a problem with a reboot and resident memory showing the tick is in progress sounds correct to me.

To many mistakes this round

going from galaxy set up, to private forums being accessable to players who was in the "think tank" to PW being fast forwarded.

We do have back ups and can go back .. its not adviseble tho . becos of several problems we had with that in the past ..

and we could land up worse.

Tho when most say we should do that then hmmmm we could try .. tho its not the mod teams advice atm  smile

When the damage is reasonble then we can work with it too

our developers are only human and can make small mistakes too .. as said when the community thinks we better use the back up then we will go that route..

im not complaing about the developers iam just saying. why does that come out of a mods mouth whenever anyone points something out? "our developers are only human and can make small mistakes" im not blaming them for this, iam blaming you.

it should never have been a stay in family round, and with all the recent mishaps, It Should! < have been reset or rolled back. 1 of the 2.

its just bad decision making all round, not just on this matter but a ton of others...sorry but thats just how it is.

Well, to be honest the mods are doing the best with what they have.  The systems and tools in place to allow them to moderate the game are powerful, yet not exactly sophisticated or user friendly.  Like FD said, whether or not any decisions are "bad" or "good" is a matter of opinion.

After all, it's not like anybody's deciding for these recent mishaps to happen.  They are unfortunate mistakes that in my opinion are a result of mods using tools that need to be cleaned up.  That's partially what I'm here for, so if anybody is to blame it is us devs for not improving the mod tools yet.

But all that is moot.  The mods work for free, and they work when they are not working their real jobs.  The same goes for myself and the other devs (besides Stefan, obviously).  When something goes wrong, the best we can do is collectively decide what the best course of action is, even if that course of action is "rolling with it".  You may disagree about the necessity of a reset, and your opinion and feedback is appreciated.  Please understand though, that the mods don't deserve scorn.  They're doing a very thankless job as it is and if not for them things would have stopped running long ago.
