I sure as hell would fire his ass, AGAIN, he is nowhere near a great coach, let's check the facts:

1.  He made his bones coaching Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen.  Who WOULDN'T win finals with those guys?
2.  He totally screwed up the whole Kobe-Shaq drama.  A GOOD coach, not a great coach but even a GOOD one, would have run that out of his lockerroom the first season.  We had five years of it.
3.  He chokes. Totally.  He goes into the finals with a game plan and NO CONTINGENCY.  We all saw it when the Pistons mopped the floor with the Lakers in 2003.  He was scribbling on his little whiteboard but it didn't matter.  He can't improvise and he's not that much better than the competition that he can stick to Master Plan A.

Maybe they need some sort of supervisory advisor to help them with that? Perhaps they could hire one? What title should he have?

lakers will prlly loose next game in boston, they were again good in the start and then they lost it, and in the end like WTF were they tryina do?? even kobe after said this is not how we can win, they really gotta pull up their socks,...imo they won't be able to do it sadly..

I dunno anymore. atm, its really anybody's game. kobe vs. pierce. Both are going to play great defense, both are going to put up points and make big time shots. The real X-factors are odom/gasol vs. garnett/allen.

Boston has a couple of injuries to key guys and that hurts them a lot because they don't have a big body to keep gasol and odom out of the paint. Well, not when garnett is on the bench I should say. Lakers are not playing consistent ball and it sucks because when the celtics play good D, the bench gets nervous and makes turnovers. Gasol does stupid stuff when ppl pressure him. 7 foot tall and he can't back leon powe down? He hasn't learned how to make a hook shot? Seriously, gasol plays too soft for my liking. Just like Dirk, Yao and Zydrunas.

Odom has problems because he is more comfortable being the 3rd option scorer and using his size and length to free himself up on offense and defense. Basically, when gasol is uselss, odom can't produce. And what sucks is that he gets most of the blame when it's not his role to really take over the game. But he needs to because now the lakers have a big time advantage if perkins sits out another game.

Celtics can only win if ray allen is as productive as paul pierce. Ray allen spaces the defense and he can get to the hole if he needs to. When ray allen produces, garnett can make cuts and play the post. Odom and gasol gives garnett problems because garnett can't really shoot outside of the paint. That's not really his area. Plus without perkins, he's forced to play gasol which gets him into foul trouble.

Man, its just such an exciting series. Both teams have great players, coaches and such great ways of lining each other up.

Derek Fisher/Farmar definitely need to push the tempo against sam cassell and rajon rondo if they play because cassell is old and slow and rondo is playing on a bad ankle.

Then you have PJ Brown and James Posey who are super aggresive defense players and both require attention on offense with Brown in the paint and Posey at the 3.

I'm cheering for the lakers but praying for the celtics. Celtics deserve it though

other than i think you hit it spot on, one more thing to add celtics have played the most any team has ever played in the post season, i think it's going to be their 27th game today, although wearing out isn't a huge factor i still think it will have something to do with it,

and perkins isn't playing today, rivers already said he will miss game 6 too, that's a big loss for them garnet can't play without him

and yeah like you said celtics worked their ass for this series, they want it more than the lakers do, they sorta do deserve it but i'd still like to see lakers come back [i'm a big fan of those upsets and comebacks from the bottom to the top GIANTSS!!!]

Lakers = very dissappointing -- i would'nt call it an upset but a great series played by celtics, i can't say the same for lakers
