Proposal in a nutshell:

How would you guys like to establish a support community for researchers and developers to work towards the task of launching human civilization the stars?

How would you like to be the ones who would thus establish an inter-planetary, inter-stellar, human civilization?  You guys would be remembered fondly by humanity for all time. 

I mean talk about a legacy! 

We'd have to come up with a new title for you guys.  How about 'Heroes of Humanity'?

If we've really only got 200 years to get it done, it's time to start now.  I'd bet the best and brightest in the world would work for you for room and board if you guys were serious about it.

It's not even necessarily theoretically possible. Never-mind your laughable presumption that we only have 200 years to do it.

I'd suggest you find a more worth-while use of your time, but the impoverished people in Africa I would suggest you volunteer to help could probably teach you a hell of a lot more than you could teach them.

I will volunteer to lead this colony.  I won't live to see it but my grandchildren would have developed effective asteroid mining, come back to Earth, slam rocks into that bitch, kill off 90% of the human race and then use the survivors for labor to get raw materials to orbit.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.

He's already discussed his belief that we have technology from aliens. If this thread isn't focused on how he proposes we secure that technology from our elites, it's just trolling.
