i have often thought of the possibility to create a galaxy police-family
a family which would declare they are not in contention to win, but to punish those that play dishonourably.

I also often thought about that. Even about a family that would be there rounds after round (not reset at eor).
The problem is to define honour and even more difficult a worldwide concept of honour.

Only way to define honour is to have a group of players from different countries writing a Code of Honour for IC

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

I dont think this is a good idea at all, we actually want MORE people playing the actual game and not use others to "oversee" and have even less of a player base.

yeah and I get what you mean about the whole thing, good god it would have been good to have when etc etc happened back whenever smile. we've all been there lmao wink.

I didnt mean bad as in sucks bad, I think in the long run if there were more players then this wouldnt be as important as it seems to be, espescially over the past couple of years.

It's a PvP game of conquest. You can't make it fair without fundamentally ruining the game and its goals.

If someone's too big and you don't like it, your job is to outgrow, out-coordinate, and get bigger allies than them. If you cannot do this, they beat you. GG. Better luck next round. If all fights were 90% fair this game would be boring as crap.

The only thing that sort-of protected smaller fams in the past, was that there were a shitload of families with a lot of players in each family. All the top fams (and there were a bunch of them, not 3-4) were keeping an eye on each other, and if you screwed up, you got pwned. In those days, fighting back as a small fam, even against all odds, could very well pay off, coz if you succeeded at weakening the big fam in any way, the other big fams would jump on them immediately. These days however, with the low number of players, and the low number of small fams, fighting back is simply out of the question, noone will come to your rescue, just accept the farming.

The question we need to ask ourselves, actually, is if we need some artificial code of conduct to prolongue the death throes of IC, or if we should finally get honest with ourselves and switch off the life support. This game doesnt need a small upgrade here and a patch there (which are, lets be honest, leaving the game ever more buggy), it needs a complete overhaul that brings it into 2012.
