This is supposed to be the most likely day. Though Thursday or next Monday are remote possibilities.

Ruth Ginsberg gave up the outcome when she declared dark divisions.

Obamacare or the mandate are gone.

The logic is easy to follow.

When a Liberal wins it is due to 'compromise' 'fairmess' 'understanding' or other such terms.

When a liberal loses it is due to 'deciveness', 'racism', 'bigotry', a 'failure of communication' or such.





Meanwhile the Catholic Church is steam rolling ahead. After last weeks 160 rallies against the anti-Chruch mandate the supposed one supporter from deep in the Church, the Catholic Health Association, made a large letter rebuking the administration over the birth control mandate. The Association represents 800 Hospitals and it appears if Obamacare survives they too will file lawsuits on top of the existing 64 lawsuits by Church groups. The nearly 1000 lawsuits will be spread throughout all Federal Court Jurisdictions making the likelyhood of a batle reaching the Supreme Court nearly guaranteed.



Obama has been losing Catholic votes faster then most Demographics, this key group has started shunning the President and it is thought the timing of his DREAM ACT Immigration change was about making a major headline before the bad news of the SCOTUS strikedown would occur.

Obama suffers greatly in various statistics and polls as the economy continues to flag, as gaffs from the administration continue to mount, as many administration officials push hard lines unnacceptable to most of the population, as power costs increase, as other factors keep making his administration look really amateurish.

The death of Obamacare is expected to make liberals even more upset with his administration, which for two years held enough power to supposedly change anything but used it to pass a flawed health care bill that the vast majority of the nation does not like.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Prediction

7-2 the individual mandate is unconstitutional
5-4 severability was deliberately cut out by Congress and therefore cannot be inferred by the courts; the whole Act failes when the mandate is rejected.

Vatican II created massive discord in US church, the old english-language catechism was yanked and no english-language replacement substittuted until 1992.  Parishioners were ordered to step up and take control of parish finances and more roles in the diocese were given to employees.

50 years of cafeteria catholics was the harvest  ("I'll have the Trinity and the communion of saints without the ban on abortion or birth control, hold the authority of bishops")

But like I been saying it's one thing to say "I am Catholic and the Pope and Bishops teach XYZ" and get it wrong - doesn't matter what the issue
it's another thing to say "I am Catholic, the Pope and Bishops teach XYZ and THEY are wrong"
we have had Democrat Catholics like Pelosi and Kerry veer into heresy.  We had a lot of liberal nuns like the head of CHA come darn close
Last month the Church said "Hey liberal nuns can't preach gay marriage and birth control and abortion are OK"
too many nuns said "Oh yeah we do the work, you bishops can't give orders like you boss things"

I think that is why CHA reversed, there is a new sheriff Archbishop Timothy Dolan from NY, head of National Conference of Catholic Bishops, not a hippie
teaching individual mistakes is a problem that the Church will try to outlive if possible.  When John Kerry says Vatican II respects the conscience so if you sincerely support abortion that is your duty...well that will last as long as John Kerry and in the Church's timeline that ain't gonna be a problem much longer.
If Democrats and liberals say "We're Catholic and we don't need bishops to lecture us about that" that can last a looong time and perhaps a moral example can be made of some liberal who lives off donations from Catholics trying to make a difference
maybe if the Bishops ordered that liberal to take the word "Catholic" off the letterhead, it would let people know they are dorks
more to the immediate effect, if you're looking to make a Catholic donation you keep on shopping

I still have heard rumors of a 6-3 ruling on Obamacare.

A 7-2 ruling would be amazingly strong of a rebuke even if just on the Mandate part.

I will hold the line with a prediction of Mandate struck down, rest left intact.

The States will be left holding the bill then sad

However, the government ought to stop contracting with the Catholic Church. Church and state ought to be separated.

that would be religious discrimination because you're rejecting contractors based on their religion.

Separation of church and state is nowhere in the consitutiton

you get your secular state when it respects the freedom of churches to operate in all spheres, not the other way around.

The Church should stop getting in bed with government because it promises increases in funds.

Of course I'm for the Church's freedom to offer what it wants, in keeping with its morality.

But the Church asked for meddling and corruption when much of it got in bed with Obamacare for promises of cash.
