Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

I know I just made a lot of liberals wince, cry, moan, groan, or otherwise emit a bad emotion.

SO what was your initial feeling about this, have you changed your stance since your beloved bed partner... errr... president has not closed it?

What are your feelings?

Come on libs, don't be shy!

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)

Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

I think it should be shut down. However, the only way to shut it down is to go Basil II style. Sadly, Obama is a wuss.

Edit: Basil II was a Byzantine Emperor who brought Bulgaria under his rule. He gouged out the eyes of every 99/100 Bulgars he captured. The 100th man had one eye to lead them back home. He knew how to deal with barbarians who loved to raid his territories. He turned them in to a liability. Imagine, those jihadists won't challenge America if their fate is to become useless members of society dependent on their women. lol.

Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

Yup, and while he is President he won't shut it down.  It's way to valuable.  But once he is out of office (or perhaps on his last week in office) I am sure he will once again demand it to be closed.  I actually think Obama is such a narcissus that he believes that he can use Gitmo justly and that if Gitmo were to fall into the hands of any other mere mortal President that it would eventually be used for nothing but evil.

Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

Hey, at least he's not increasing its population. He's just killing everyone. You can't take corpses prisoner. You don't have to decide what to do with them.

Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

Dont cry Einstein, soon you will have another republican as president who will find a new terrorist nation to make a war against with money you have to pay when the taxes are getting higher
just because USA dont have any money atm but are living on loans. Then some years later you will have another crack in the economical system and all will be even more expencive because
your president wanted a little war that lasted longer then expected and really never ended. Then you will get another democrat as president but he will again get only 4 years to repair the dammage
and when he in the end of his periode starts to get some result its not enough and then a new republican will be elected and in the name of good traditions he will look for a possible war and use
even more money that has to be loaned and so on and so on. You actually had a president who managed to do something about the economical problems but he also worked with some other problems
on the more feminin side and was chased by another guy (republican) who also had some feminin problems but ws much better to hide them.

Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

The best part about our wars of late is that they've been horribly bungled and, at best, the nations we invaded will be little better than they were (in regard to our national security) previously.

Clinton didn't work on anything economic; he was dragged kicking and screaming by Republicans in what wasn't their worst hour. He was also aided by a booming economy (increased tax revenue) and a dot.com bubble which hadn't yet burst.

To pretend that government spending and socialism fixes economies is laughable. I can respect disagreements over social programs and what's ideal, but to claim they're an economic benefit to a nation is just ignorant.

Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

@frosty:
This president did nothing to stop wars and increased military activity in many places. This president also voted for the Iraqi war I think?

I only give it 1 out of 10 that Romney isn't a complete failure but at least it not proven yet.

Re: Gitmo: 3 Years under Obama and still going strong!

isn't that the case already now? smile
