The short of this is every European will be assigned an electronic identification.

Now they try to hide it well with other language but the entirety of it is that when you log on you will use your access ID, where you go will be logged accompanying your access ID.

Now I had posted in the past that such a system was the only short term method to stop illegal downloads. It is also a good way to end hacking as well.

The flip side, which is the reason I do not support it, is it makes tracking political opponents very easy. It is quite easy to go from this to online tyranny. I cannot endorse this 'solution' but it seems the fix is in.

In any event this will end about 45% of Anonymous fro/ being hacktivists, end about 33% of digital theft, and stop a decent amount of criminal hacking.

1. Hack the EU server
2. Create entry for Adolf Hitler, wanted war criminal
3. Change everybody's code to that of Hitler
4. Watch everybody who tries to  use a credit card in Europe get arrested

I'm completely against this. But it will slip almost unnoticed as usual.

Re: Anonymous no more. How Europe plans to end cyber theft

pay some Muslim cleric to declare it against Islam

that'll end it

hm no don't pay, that could be misinterpreted

put on a black suit and white shirt and black tie and a raincoat, go to a mosque and start getting taking names for the EU e-identity database

that'll get the same result and be cheaper

Re: Anonymous no more. How Europe plans to end cyber theft

now this only bring about a large use of identity theft now doesnt it, aswell most downloading i do is over proxy servers... they can have fun trying to track thousands of seperate packets.

Re: Anonymous no more. How Europe plans to end cyber theft

cmon 2sidedeath we know how it works

the truck full of soldiers pulls up, the officer with a cigarette holder demands the identity of all the users, the greasy little man in his shirtsleeves protests that he can't track all the separate packets...the officer gestures and the soldiers put a speaker magnet over the server, clip jumper cables to the alternator and start the engine...

Re: Anonymous no more. How Europe plans to end cyber theft

Each packet will have your identity attached to it.

They won't have an issue.

They also have plans for Identity theft including a 24 hour notice of theft of an identity, systems to monitor the IP versus the Identity and behavioral pattern recognition.

For instance I log to RedState, Dailytech, TechnologyReview, Hot Air, Imperial Conflict, Fox News... and you get the picture.

They will also be able to throw kill switches on identities for a while for visiting certain sites.

Trust me... my numbers here are from years of research on the topic.

enough juice through a magnet and I'll still fry the circuits with microwave energy!!!!

Japan's Aum Death Cult (they hit Tokyo subways with sarin) had microwave incinerator that destroyed soft tissue, bone and even eventually the steel 50 gallon drums that held the corpses

no you changed the challenge

"In 5 years no one can use a magnet to affect information"

WRONG FOOL! although I can't disrupt an photonic circuit with a magnetic field DIRECTLY as with electronic circuits, I can still  use my magnet to generate microwave energy that will burn your hardware! MUHAHAHAHAHA

Re: Anonymous no more. How Europe plans to end cyber theft

"Each packet will have your identity attached to it."

Ok, where about will this information be stored Flint? You do realise that your packets are setup and stripped in such a way that ANY receiving device is able to quickly and easily read the header information. To change the "packet" as such, you are ACTUALLY changing the header of the packet (or including it in the payload, which by the way becomes illegal for my country to inspect, and furthermore, it becomes even harder for hardware read). No, it won't be in EVERY packet, and more than likely, it will just be like your ISP username/password connecting to a regional access server that allows your IP through the gateway...easier to implement, harder to circumvent (since you cant just connect to a VPN/Tunnel out since you would be denied access through the gateway), and well, anyone who knows anything about this would set it up this way.

Also, your figures you quoted in your first post look very made up...90% of people can tell on first glance...

"hrm so a magnetic field won't destroy a server built on fiberoptics?"

Your current PC will actually need a rather high powered magnet to affect the information that is stored on your HDD. Furthermore, it will only affect your HDD, any to a lesser extent, may interrupt information flowing through circuits. It can however affect UTP cables, which could kill the internet connection whilst it is in proximity to a cable. As for fibreoptics, because it is using light, a magnetic field does not interfere with signals travelling along it...so a magnetic field won't "destroy" a current server, nor one based on fibreoptics.

I give your invention the worst score imaginable. An A minus MINUS!

Obviously because there are no ID thefts with SSN today.

Re: Anonymous no more. How Europe plans to end cyber theft

The commission has many ideas, but after 27 national states have washed them through for a decade or more, nothing will change. The idea is to establish a "finger print" for commercial use, e. g. combine a credit card with your ID Card. You buy something, enter your credit card details and than put the ID in a device that identifies you. Other purposes are elections from home, e-government/e-administration etc.

Re: Anonymous no more. How Europe plans to end cyber theft

"Sounds like microwaves are the way to go then"

You do realise that microwaves ovens use a frequency of 2.45Ghz, very close to your wireless connections (so much so that a microwave can and will interfere with your wireless connection at home). To that end, how much does a wireless connection mess with your computer? The answer is none. Now you also need to consider output power, but the problem is, the output power needed to properly fubar a PC would be massive...so no, microwaves are not the way to go...
