Re: A good day for Mitt Romney

Yesterday there were two primaries.

Mitt of course cleaned house.

But the story does not stop there.

In one of the two at least there was an open Primary... and amazingly more Democrats voted for... Romney than Obama.

Worse for Obama is that in both States... he only got 60% of the vote!

In one of the two the voters voted 'no preference' which is a way to not vote for any candidates. 40% voted that way!!!

In the other State a hardcore leftist got 40% of the vote.

With that sort of voting Hillary should have tried to Primary Barack... she would probably have won.

So at this juncture the election is Mitt Romney's to lose (this is an American saying, where the person who is winning by miles/hours/an extreme amount can only lose if they stop trying).

Of course Ron Paul dropped out and could never ha e gotten elected anyhow as his insanity would be an easy target.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Re: A good day for Mitt Romney

maybe they'll make "No Preference" Obama's VP

"sorry Joe, he just does more for the ticket"

"I got no beef, I voted for him myself"

they want people to think ron paul is not an option, he didnt drop out. its just that wall street and big banks fear him.

romney and obama couldnt be more alike, why choose one over the other?

Re: A good day for Mitt Romney

has romney ever left a company stable after he took ahold of it? or does he just leave bare bones

"Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said Monday that he will no longer campaign in primary states that have not yet voted, but urged those who support his candidacy for president to continue organizing in states that have voted, in order to win delegates to the national convention...

so... the best the news articles can do is to spin a topic to make it sound like he dropping or even considering dropping when really he is placing his time in the states that have actually bothered to vote.... lol

Re: A good day for Mitt Romney

He has made a number of companies more successful, for employee and investors both, in his life. It would seem much more than the ones that closed or he would not have been considered successful.

Also he saved the Utah Olympics. I am surprised how quiet everyone is about that. I think Romney is saving it for a trump card.

In fact Romney had an ad recently where he showcased a steel factory he not only saved, but made a huge success with. This countered an Obama ad saying he shut places out of business.

Re: A good day for Mitt Romney

Einstein, it is because the bidding to win the Olympics for your venue is organized crime, and second, there's video of Romney boasting how he got federal tax money to subsidize it

Obama can't use the issue without reminding people he failed to bring the Games to Chicago

Hmmm, Federal Tax money huh? Got a link handy?

And makes sense on Chicago part... his personal intercession was not enough, lol.

i cannot find a single link showing romney saving failing businesses. all that comes up is crook, failure, bankruptcy. and to be considered sucessful all you need is money, money that can be made by coring companies.

http://www.moneyteachers.org/Bain+Mitt+Romney+EDGAR.htm

i assume you mean his capital company. bain capital

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bain_Capital

Bain Capital itself, and especially its actions during its first 15 years, came under press scrutiny as the result of Romney's 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.[26][92][93] However, Bain Capital made as few comments as possible, as even by the standards of the private equity industry it was known for its commitment towards secrecy about itself and privacy for its clients and investors.[93] In his 2010 book The Buyout of America: How Private Equity Is Destroying Jobs and Killing the American Economy, Josh Kosman described Bain Capital as "notorious for its failure to plow profits back into its businesses," being the first large private-equity firm to derive a large fraction of its revenues from corporate dividends and other distributions. The revenue potential of this strategy, which may "starve" a company of capital,[94] was increased by a 1970s court ruling that allowed companies to consider the entire fair-market value of the company, instead of only their "hard assets", in determining how much money was available to pay dividends.[95] In at least some instances, companies acquired by Bain borrowed money in order to increase their dividend payments, ultimately leading to the collapse of what had been financially stable businesses.[46]

Steel Dynamics
Domino's
Sports Authority
Staples

The last three he added over 110,000 jobs between them.

He had a 70% success rate fixing businesses on the verge of collapse. Yes collapse. He tended to buy risky companies that were hemoraging money and then fixed them up to very profitable ventures.
