It was expected, but here it is. Claiming violation of the Constitution dozens of Catholic aligned groups filed suit against the Obama administration for the birth control ruling.

Recently the Supreme Court has voted 9-0 in favor of religion in several issues. The Church expects an easy victory.

The timing is surely going to get noticed with Obama's same sex declarations. Obama is truly stacked against religion in the United States right now.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

personally i think that the church getting involved with the law should be banned... how much clearer can it be that they are wrong in trying to make people do something other than what their personal rights allow.... the constitution is to protect the few from the many.

They are not making anyone do anything it is the government that is making people pay for other peoples private decsions to have sex. If you decide to do the act then pay for the protection and do not expect your fellow citzen to do it and please show me where in the constitution it is written free birth control for all. Cougar, the church is protesting the government infringing their rights. They're not trying to "get involved with the law," ie. write laws. They're simply filing suit over their rights being violated.

The church isn't trying to make anybody do anything.

You're confused. You do not pay for any government programs. You are not paying for the military, welfare payments, or any research etc. The only entities that pay for them are the government and private donors. While it's true the government collects taxes, your claim rests on the assumption that the money is yours. It's not. It's a liability you owe to the government. If we were to follow your logic, then an insolvent debtor could argue against bankruptcy by claiming that their liabilities are in fact equities, which is a laughable proposition.

Additionally, contraceptives are cheap as hell. If you want government to buy them for you for economic reasons, you should probably focus more on getting a job and less on saving $20.

Additionally, availability of contraceptives is not a magic bullet for "safe sex." Idiots like you will still spread diseases, sometimes even more often with contraception reducing the usefulness of condoms.

Oh, I was referring to a hypothetical person and calling it me. Actually, I don't believe the government needs to require insurance companies to cover condoms or birth control (except in limited cases when the birth control is required to remedy a health concern). As you say, condoms are inexpensive. However, I tire of Yell's insistence that we make the unmarried population sexually frustrated by outlawing pre-marital sex and contraception. That sort of policy will turn the US in to a ghetto, and I had to point this out.

But I stand by my position that taxes are a liability owed to the government. You do not own it. This concept is not detrimental to capitalism at all. What's detrimental to capitalism is a high tax rate and idiots who think they own the money that's in the government's hands.

The claim that no human being inherently, logically owns the wealth they own because of some bizarre theoretical framework in which it's just wealth that the government lets them have is just stupid. That requires a literary work of idiotic, juvenile, intellectually retarded reasoning explaining why government power is the ultimate purpose of humanity and humans are ants whose entire existence is only validated by their service to the colony.

It's too dumb to even start to get into here. (And you'd need a huge explanation to even try to base such nonsense on to begin with) It's economically harmful to humanity as a whole. It's economically harmful to standard of living on average.

The only people buying into such things are communist leaders (who love power) and their supports (who are gullible and stupid enough to believe it's just/beneficial to them). It's antithetical to human freedom and prosperity, by all measures.

Off-topic? Naw. Everyone who's right agrees government has no right to force people to provide contraception against their will. Everyone who's right agrees contraception is cheap as hell so it's a non-issue. Everyone who's right (including the Catholic Church) agrees that certain forms of "contraception" are a legitimate treatment to other medical problems than "pregnancy," and approves of their use in such cases.
