In my opinion something like this to make the recording of HoF ranks and stats is much needed and something that the community should be encouraged to make use of regularly in order to preserve the game's round history. The current hall of fame functionality is horrid and should never really have been changed from the old format. A lot of the most useful data is not displayed anymore (including fam ranks and empire names).

So yeah, this has my thumbs up.

I'd suggest pointing I_like_pie in the direction of this thread as he is very keen on getting the IC Wiki up to the standard where people use it regularly and now that he's on the IC developer team, may be able to do something to link your tool to both IC and the Wiki.

Nice tool I think i started doing the EOR rankings on the Wiki when you stopped. I did it for a while but it relied on me being able to see the ranks after the round ended and that i was online to copy them before the galaxy was reset. Also took a while to do it. The individual family pages took forever to do but was probably the most appreciated part of the whole thing.

I'd endorse having someone do this for each round. Like Arsy said, the current HoF is godawful terrible for storing info. In a family/team based game there are no records of any of the families...
