Re: The "HELP NOIR TO GET INTO SHAPE" thread
bike ride and running are opposite sports, it's not me telling this advice to you, it's a pro trainer in my pro football team when I was young. I liked both playing football and going out with the bike to the hills, and forced too much until one of my 'abductors' muscles in the right leg got injured. That's when my trainer told me I injured it by forcing at bike and then doing the opposite exercise at the football training.
My advice is you forget about the bike ride (well u can use it a lighter way) and focuse on stamina at running, setting a distance for 3 days then resting 1 day, then adding some more kms for the next 3 days, and the important here is the way you do it -> you have to start the trail walking, then progressively accelerating the pace and the last km you have to do it at your max speed and capacity, with a sprint in the last meters.
I got good trainings in my youth years and I keep a strong legs despite I'm kinda fat now because of the night-life and too many beers in my belly, but you can trust my advice ![]()
