Re: China, and Wornstrum

This post has been tried five times, and each of the five was lost to phone glitches. Wornstrum once lamented that no one talks about China.

Well here you go Wornstrum, a list of issues I am capable of handling.

Tibet, Tianamen Square, Reporters being carefully controlled, State Media, War with Vietnam, War with India, expansionism, Mao's sexcapades with very young girls, the Great Leap Forward, Korea, imperialistic desires, monopolistic goals, crackdowns, children making fireworks,  Faluun Gong, Currency Controls, Energy Policy, Corruption (lots), industry, piracy, hacking, food, space ambitions, espionage, one child policy, abortions, border skirmishes with Russia (USSR), religion, working conditions, immigration, colonialism, the Opium Wars, and their form of Socialism. Heck I can cover some portions of history pretty well also.

You see I do not limit myself to the United States, I study just about everything (except French victories, even Google says article not found wink ).

Since Kemp won't admit I have some knowledge, and since Xeno will never take my challenge... it means I will give you home court advantage for something to do. Choose five, stake your position or knowledge, and let's have forum fun.

In this contest it is more showing of knowledge than conflict I suspect, because deep down I think you are convertable to Republicanism and Conservatism.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Re: China, and Wornstrum

No one denies that China is scum. But so is the US, and so is every country on the earth. They are all scum!

United States:
1. Carrying condoms is evidence of prostitution.
2. The president can order the detainment of anyone indefinitely.
3. Torture of enemy combatants.
4. 4th amendment rights are thrown away.
5. Roadside asset forfeiture.

Re: China, and Wornstrum

Damn it, the one thing on that list I would be interested in actually arguing would be whether Taiwan is independant or not...but it is not actually on the list...

Also, I am usually open to hear what people have to say, but you realise that will never change. So saying I am convertible is saying that I will then come to a decision of a political association, which I really do not see myself doing. I furthermore have become rather worn out from the current debate format in politics at the moment and also having a rather full on workload with homework lately...I have to remember close to 100 characters a day :S (getting hectic)...

Also, many things on your list are rather old, even before the current political environment (or very early in the political environment)...

I give your invention the worst score imaginable. An A minus MINUS!

Taiwan is a good topic, as is the freedoms of Hong Kong.

Go and enjoy your schoolwork however....

So, you consider those whom you seek to convert to your brand of republicanism as "victims"? lol

Re: China, and Wornstrum

Does the United States consider Taiwan a separate state?

Re: China, and Wornstrum

No, we just protect them from the communists with threats of military force in a figurative way.

No, but the US does everything short of recognizing it as a separate state.  The Taiwan Relations Act allows embassies, treaties, and normal diplomatic relations with "the governing authorities on Taiwan," without actually recognizing the "Republic of China."

As well as defense treaties, armament sales, and more.
