Prostitution is illegal in the vast majority of the USA. It still exists everywhere.

Libertarians are examining your absolute failure to rid the world of these things and looking at the situation realistically. You're ignoring the facts and pretending that what we're doing--what you support--is working. And you're ignoring the money wasted and lives lost in your failed crusade.

I don't like drugs and hookers. But I'm not going to pretend I live in a box and I don't go outside. Your policies have failed catastrophically, billions are being wasted, and human beings are losing their lives over it. Why don't you mind what's in your own pants and stop worrying about everyone else's. They don't want you involved with their genitalia. Get over it.

but why stop there, why aren't you mentioning slavery and forced labor and child armies, and all the other forbidden stuff that still happens so get over it?

I don't disagree, since we effectively don't have them. What qualities do you think makes one set police-able and the other not?

Sex slave trade and wife slave trade is very much so a going concern. As is child sex slaves or pedophiliacs would have nothing to watch.

Please also look up the stats on non family kidnappings in the United States, where the gal, or child, is never heard from again. Then look up the numbers for sex slaves.

Drugs can be controlled. Simply execute everyone who sells them (or 75%, give the dealer hope he can live and he won't try a fire fight).

As for prostitution we can neuter all Johns via repeated sting operations where each neutering that was legit gets the police agency a $500 Federal bonus (with tough standards, video and audio taping required).

There would be no dealers and no johns, both would dry up.


So there is a way to stop them, though some Libertarian arseholes would cry a river for not being able to get their addiction reupped.

The numbers are nowhere close. The point is that slavery can be combated effectively: And we don't give the agencies that police it the authority or resources they need. We're too concerned about leaving our borders open to police illegals and the slaves they traffic. Yet we dump money and human life after drugs and make the problem worse, enriching drug gangs and driving users to crime by driving up prices.

Anyone who thinks slavery is as rampant as prostitution is literally intellectually challenged.

I love how you look to China for ideas in combating personal freedom. Because if I have a joint once or twice a month, on a warm weekend night with some Sam Adams on my porch, you really have any right to involve yourself in my life. Stopping me from this horrible crime is certainly worth billions, dead law enforcement officers, and dead farmers of this horrible, horrible plant.

Without referring to Jesus, the Founding Fathers, Better Homes & Gardens, or Doctor Phil, please explain why that's OK, but running a opium den with slave concubines guarded by teenage soldiers is somehow "out there".

The point was that we can effectively police and combat the slaves and teenage soldiers. We clearly cannot effectively police the opium and hookers. I was clear on this point, but it seems you're choosing to pretend we're no more capable of combating slaves and teenage soldiers. That's just ignorant fantasy. If that's what you want to believe, in the face of all evidence, there's no point in discussing it here.

My point was that they're not remotely analogous. Claiming there's a parallel is fail and makes no point. I made this clear. Come on, you're just trolling.

I'm not a fan of prostitution. I've obviously never employed one and I have no personal or professional respect for the profession or women who do it. My point is that it happens anyway. You're arguing that America was safer under prohibition and people were saved from the evils of alcohol--Regardless of the facts that they drank anyway, prices rose, and violence reigned, as the entire business became a crime. That's a tough one to make.

Edit: Do we have a problem with opium dens with slave concubines guarded by teenage soldiers? I'd want professional adult soldiers, but shit, I want in on this business. I've always wanted an opium den with slave concubines.
