What a gruesome episode! Few things:
- Ughhhhh.... I was in the middle of eating a sandwich when listening to those crunching sounds of that medic woman amputating that guy's foot. Nice!
- Joffrey is a "
Also now that I've had more time to think about it....
- Cersei was nowhere to be seen this episode! ![]()
- Really interested to see what happens to Dany in Quarth (which looks awesome btw). If those people are really interested in her dragons, why don't they just kill her troop and steal them? They're hardly well hidden and defended...
- How many episodes is this season? 10? If so, it seems to be moving at a really slow pace. We're almost halfway through the season and not much has happened. As I said in my post yesterday, lots of new characters and so many storylines... but we're not seeing them do much! As a result, by the time I next see them on screen, I've forgotten who they are.... (like that red haired woman who gave birth at the end).
- And finally... WTF was that ending?!!!!!
Dragons are believable?
It is fantasy after all. Last season the 4 first episodes were starters as well, I think with yesterday's episode they showed that they are picking up pace of some sorts ![]()
arsy, it's qarth, not quarth! didnt you listen to xaro? ![]()
also, harrenhall looks amazing
were the dragons naked?
hmm guess they can't be naked, they're just kids
Thought the episode was good if not a little dark... That ending was... something... lol. Not sure what to think of it or what it was. Qarth looked good. Awesome inside the place ![]()

Yes! I have a dragon! X(
But seriously... black misty creature thingy.... it's starting to become Lost!

I think last season I watched all 10 episodes in the space of 2 or so days which didn't give me time to forget characters and parts of the story. As I'm now watching this season on a weekly basis, it can get a bit confusing trying to remember. Perhaps they should show it in 2 episode chunks to aid us non-book readers (might just be wishful thinking!).

Awesome! ![]()
After reading the books the characters are burned in my head. I can understand the difficulty for TV watchers.
Anyway it won't be anything like lost
Way cooler and stuff ![]()
Beyond the main POV characters pretty much everyone else is a blur.
Eh, rewatch the episodes a few times, I watch an episode like four times throughout the week to catch all the subtle stuff. As for the characters themselves, you don't need to know every character. Ramsey Bolton isn't htat important now, Greatjon doesn't come up too often except for shouting KING OF THE NORTH. And other auxiliary characters aren't big players. They just all have names is all, other shows wouldn't name them but they get names because they are book characters that are more fleshed out.
That's part of the problem though.... with so many characters, how am I supposed to know which ones I'm supposed to remember and which ones are just auxiliary? ![]()
Btw book readers... who are the brotherhood (without spoilering if possible)? Those guys were torturing the prisoners in Harrenhall and asking about the Brotherhood.
They're anti-Lannister guerrillas, they become more important in the later books/seasons.
I highly recommend not going to the Ice and Fire Wiki to find out about them, major spoilers await ![]()

do you remember in season 1 when a peasant comes in from the riverlands and complains about the mountain raping and pillaging? this is while robert is out hunting and so ned is on the throne at the time. he sends a lord (beric dondarrion) and some of his own men out to hunt down the mountain. they are the brotherhood without banners.

...-I- was that boy...
just kidding, they're the advance scouts of the army of King Uber Boobi, his Queen Rubi and Crown Prince Sacatumi

Who knew a fantasy story is so predicative of current events.
LOL @ Colbert.

No I don't remember - but ok! Thanks! ![]()
good one thirdrock, especially so since Martin despises fan fiction
Ned sent out dondarrion to catch the mountain, but I am not sure if they explained anywhere what happened to him yet and that he and his men are the brotherhood. Also in the books I think that the whole deal with the brotherhood was kept vague for a while.
Yeah, I'm thinking they'll explain it next episode with a "Previously on Game of Thrones..." and the scene of Ned sending them out.
Nice spoilers thridgay X(
