1) What is your real life job?
Running a used-bookshop, some websites and a bit of accounting.

2) What IC moment stands out for you during the many years you have played this game?
Eh, I haven't played for many years but many years ago *grin

a) Definetly all of beta 1 because we had so much fun with hilarious role playing, writing formal insults and war declarations, trying to figure out how this game functions or wether something is a feature or a bug.

b) The Harkonnen/Pirate reunion plus esteemed guests and former enemies (round 6 or 7?):
For weeks before the start of the round we were talking strat and calculating for pages and pages (as a calculating sideresult inventing the resourcer) and exchanging stories of old IC with each other like some old veterans from different frontiers... splendid time (some of those really lengthy stories can be still read in the IC-Wiki)... and after the real game began, we discovered IC to have become a different game and lost interest within weeks.

3) What REAL LIFE moment stands out for you?
Once you start thinking about it, quite many come to mind, so I'll pick a rather unheroic weird one: After months of depression and loosing interest in reading, one day discovering that reading a book makes fun again...

Another memorable moment is the first time SpeedyJerry linked me pages like [ shock sites, porn sites not allowed]

1) What is you real life job? (Are you all computer geeks or are there other guys like myself on IC that don't have an IQ of 150+ being forced to work a job that doesnt involve building robots, researching rocket Science etc etc).

- I'm a scientist working in the field of radiotherapy treatment, although at some point in my career I sold my soul and took the money - my job is largely routine service provision, I don't get involved in as much actual research as really I would like but that has it's advantages too. I do a fair bit of R&D type work on my own initiative, largely because it keeps me interested. Nothing major, but I like to try to improve how we work and put a bit of me into my job.

2) What IC moment stands out for you during the many years you have played this game?

Playing in The Idiots families and hanging around in #idiots was far more fun than ever taking anything seriously. I think I have spent far longer of the past 11/12 years just dropping into the forums to see what is going on than actually playing the game.

3) What REAL LIFE moment stands out for you?

Earlier this year when I proposed to my fiancee was by far the biggest, scariest and best moment of my life so far. We've been together for coming up to eight years and I still have never told her about IC, but I think she kind of knows. When we first started going out (and for about 3 years!) I used to delete IC from my internet history so she wouldn't think I was a geek, again, I think she kind of knew that anyway
