ok guys, so with all the moaning and cheating and dishonour attacks flying around the forum, i thought id lighten it up a little.  As you all know, im a cool guy and i dont like to argue with people EVER! So, i thought id make our lives a bit happier by creating this thread

1) What is you real life job? (Are you all computer geeks or are there other guys like myself on IC that don't have an IQ of 150+ being forced to work a job that doesnt involve building robots, researching rocket Science etc etc).

2) What IC moment stands out for you during the many years you have played this game? My g/f deleting my account and getting an email at work saying " Hi Dan, just to let you know a guy has phoned me up saying he met you the other day during your penguin talk and hes asking for your phone number as you guys were talking about travelling".  Later, it turned out to be NOIR somehow finding out where i work and trying to get hold of my number...god knows what for lol. Yeah Noir, how did u know where i work tongue

3) What REAL LIFE moment stands out for you? Being on the Cube gameshow and getting bitten by a penguin, seal, and a deadly snake and almost dying yikes

1) Currently full time medicine student, unemployed. Looking for work though (although not actively tongue).

2) Having Flashy crash his droids on me! big_smile

3) One time I messed up and got incredibly drunk by drinking a bit too much vodka in a bit too little time... As I was almost slipping into an alcohol-induced coma, the people who I was with took the best care of me that I could've wished for. That really made me appreciate my friends, a lot.

3) My real life moment: The day I got divorced. Much cheaper, and waaaay more satisfying!

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

1) Engineering Student + intern

2) In ICPG1 Torqez and Destroyyoutoo were both large attackers trying to raid my ~250 planets; they only got 19.

3) Back in highschool, a few of us made it a hobby to climb on as many roofs as we could. One time we climbed onto the roof of the office building (only a single story) and played Frisbee until we heard the staff talking about the noise down below. We made a quick escape by climbing down on the opposite side.

Firstly, @The Riddler: Much respect.  My dad's a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant after 30 years.  It was quite a ride growing up as a marine kid. =P
@Hoffman: Congrats that's very commendable. smile

As for myself:

1) What is you real life job?
I'm a software engineer, focused on programming perl for the web.  This is probably why I can't stay away from creating IC-related websites/tools/etc =P

2) What IC moment stands out for you during the many years you have played this game?
Having the honor of new "Foohon" families and players coming up even years after I left the game and the original Foohon family split up.  It was always strange but also nice to have people I didn't even know identify so strongly with my little gibberish word I introduced to IC.  Once somebody in #general asked me if I had ever played with or against any Foohon members.  I got a kick out of that. =P

3) What REAL LIFE moment stands out for you?
Both my father and my brother returning from Iraq, at different times.  There's no sense of relief and appreciation that even compares.

dismembering dead dogs at the zoology lab in university, death flavour was everywehre around the big spaced room, happened those dogs were dead before? or sacrificed for the science? happened those were wanderers in the woods fled from the big city, left alone by their human 'owners' they survived the winter and moved up to the mountain and formed a pack that was acting wild in the woods. Happened bus drivers were paid by the locals and the university council to kill those dogs whenever seen in the roads down from the campus to the city.

Man i was not studying for that kind of shit, it was hard for me to earn a penny to go on with the career plus I had no much faith in the future of it (maybe at the butchery), and that day at the lab I finally decided to leave Biology career at uni and look for a job, so in the near future I wouldn't have to go up to the mountain and get wild in the woods, knowing where it ends.

- the whole of round 4 Old Andro. Classic!
- watching the first few IC Mafia discussions in #mafia. Hilarious!
- being modded and not fully understanding the massive highs and lows the role would bring over the following few years. Clueless!
- chairing the first ICPG player draft. Exciting!

3) What REAL LIFE moment stands out for you?
- graduating and collecting my degree. Never been more proud of myself. Happy!
- giving my best man speech in a hall of 250 guests in Toronto. Never been more proud of my best mate. Proud!
- standing on the beach and watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean last year. Speechless!
- scuba diving in tropical waters in Thailand. Wow!

1) Truck driver and Politician

2) Being number one for size, NW, and income for several weeks in a row, having billions of GC and resources on the market, and preparing to do the first Flint jump only to have the server crash.

Also advertising Flint Jump the next round when it was clear I could not pull it off due to constant wars, and Ryan calling me a liar on the math... while I helped his enemies do the math right and pull of jump after jump... leaving for a while and coming back to see that inhuman incomes had been achieved thanks to my method the next round, and a piss poor fix in place.

3) Getting over depression on losing my son... feel like I have a chance at life again.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
