So if MW is going to be played as a no-allies round.. wouldnt it have been better to just take the option to NAP  away for this round ?

Taking the option to nap away encourages Not ingame signed Naps. Mods and developers have tried to make signing ingame naps more interesting with Diplomatic Planet agreements etc.. So what you suggest is against what they are trying to achieve. Also I give them my full support in this matter.
