Paganism doesn't claim it is the correct "one".  Paganism is correct for me.  I'm not bothered by anyone else's beliefs.

Words will always retain their power.  Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen: the enunciation of truth.

hmm..I dunno. If each one of Santa's little elves claimed to be Santa Claus, I don't think it makes Santa Claus ridiculous, but the elves themselves.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.

Re: Post your religion

should put this in the game

Ritualists get negative bonus to morale if population isn't at starvation, positive bonus to ground defense.  Cause martyrdom is more beloved of God than birth control.

Agitants get positive morale bonus from sharing system with non-Agitants, cause they can go preach at them. Non-agitants get negative morale bonus to sharing system with Agitants.

Naturalists get negative morale from being at building capacity, but diminished food cost cause they love tofu soup with flaxseed oil.

Zealots get positive ground attack bonus, negative morale bonus for not attacking non-Zealots.  I made this up because it doesn't match any Earth religion. Please don't behead me.

Pacifists get negative morale from attacking or defending, but have diminished building maintenance cause they don't get mad and punch walls so much.

Realists know that Magic Skyboy does not exist.  Therefore they don't get any planetary morale bonuses, because Magic Skyboy did not make this place superduper holy.  Cause he doesn't exist.

In a religious galaxy, you can pick what you start out with, and your colonies will copy their home planet.

However, enough turmoil can make a planet Flip.  There's no progression among religions, it's random selection.  A successful conquest should cause a Flip almost certainly.  Flips could also be provoked by a really successful False Prophet spell.

Yeah I know religion has no place in a science fiction game, that's why the whole "Dune" thing went nowhere

Your comment is funny despite being true!

@ The Whisper
Civilization 4 worked with religion, especially if you were first to create all religions.

The question should have been "Do you own any aeroplanes and if so how many?"

And they promptly erased all possible proof of that game concept's existence in Civilization 5.  smile
