Primo was the only mod related to that war afaik. So I don't know how that war is relevant to their decision.

but fenix why wait til now? why couldnt we have set the end date after we knew that polls outcome? 2 days is nothing if u got plans made with wars etc. alot of smaller fams who were busy boosting their eco for their eor wars, wich now they couldnt.
its nice mods waited til after the 19/11 war, but it easyer for everyones convenience if we knew back then. the less chance of mods being yelled on.
So why do we allow to make the same mistake over and over?
i agree that the way it ended isn't optimal, notice would have been good so other fams could plan an EOR war too, but
1) this round was too long, a new one will be better
2)IC community is going to complain no matter what they do

maybe the mod team want both galaxies to end at the same time so they can bring in some updates 
I think there would be a lot less complaining if they didn't do this. Because when round starts the date is set.

I agree with Brandonn though. It would have been nice to have time to use whatever we have for whatever reasons involved! i.e. A NAP cancellation. Giving 50 odd hrs for a countdown till EoR does screw half of the galaxy especially after the "End MW early" thread had no real response about what was happening. 5 or so days notice would have been handy in this situation.
Just because the top alliances war was a flop (Which we basically knew it would be anyhow) time is being cut on the smaller fams that are making the most of what they thought were to be a longer round.
i think the thinking behind it was that everyone was moaning about ending it, it was pre longed just so the "big" war could happen, that is over so they ended it, just failed to realise others made plans for the time that would have been thought as war time, all said and done it doesn't make much of a difference, new round 
Oh well. I agree with mods' decision to end the round early. Sorry to know that you feel that way. It should improvise next time!!!!
Btw, I'm enjoying getting wiped out in 97 from 05/04 war. Best war ever. :-P

yep this is right 
but it does make a difference to me.
Cuz I dont have enough time to play another full round, I wanted this round to last longer so I could play longer.
I wont be back for a while. (Like I am defo coming back)
but I wanted to play just a little bit longer before I went away.

sucks that they put in that effort to plan a war that they could never conduct with the timeline that was given.
this game always got loop holes with all the napbreakers..
