40 degrees here last night. Snowing in summer on our mountains...

Umatilla area has 860% of normal snowpack

Grand Ronde has 275% of normal snowpack

John Day has 600% of normal snowpack

Upper Deschutes 292%

Lower Deschutes 415%

Willamette 388%

Rogue 175%

Klamath 175%



Water precipitation levels are also up.... 10% or so averaged...


Mt Hood

Today: Periods of snow showers before 11am, then rain showers likely. High near 42. West northwest wind between 11 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.


Portland (todays forcast)

So perhaps I was right about following the scientists claiming cosmic radiation and the lack thereof was the reason for the warming, and now we are getting into a cooling period?

global warming will must probably lead to more extreme weather, not necessarily warmer (ye its a confusing term),

I agree the weather is messed up.  It's been really warm where I live and I'm not liking it.  Can't wait till I can afford my seasonal travel of Sept 21 - Mar 20 Northern Hemisphere Mar 21 - Sept 20 Southern Hemisphere.

this last year has had some pretty nice weather in Michigan, nice and cool, record snow fall in winter, and mild spring and fall.

the theory goes that global warming would increase cloudforming and rain, snow etc. What you say flint actually prooves their theory.

Its like all those people who complain about the heat because of GW. Global warming mesured local in one or 2 years is absolute nonsence. You have to measure 10-20 years GLOBAL and then -maybe- you can draw conclusions. Please

I dont have any faith in the credibility of those who tout the term climate change now.

Not too long ago it was called Global warming.  thirty years ago the same community thought there would be a Global Cooling.  That is simply evidence of them fishing around for some crisis that they can hang onto for their sick need to seem important.

Global warming my ass.

It is pure natural effect. And it is not even fully proven that the humans have anything to do with it.

It is a natural thing. The weather follows curves. Hot, cold, hot, cold etc etc. Atm we are between two ice ages. So yes the world will be warmer and on the same time some zones will have it colder. Then something big happens and voila, we have our next Ice Age.

And the sun destroys the atmosphere more then the humans can do!

You have claimed all this time that you would die for me. Why then are you so surprised to hear your own eulogy?

I admit I know little of the issue so both sides can still convince me.

one argument I heard so far in this thread: how can we know its not purely natural? (ofcourse the question goes the other way around as well)
