Since I believe the above may be too difficult, a different (perhaps easier) solution:

<&RisingDown> or at least be able to arrange them by notes, now that we have those
<&RisingDown> alphabetically
<&RisingDown> so you could name your biggest fleet "a", second fleet "b", etc.
<&RisingDown> there'd be a restriction of 26 fleets, but it'd be better than this at the very least.
<&RisingDown> or you could name multiple fleets with very seperate sizes "a"
<&RisingDown> at least it'd reduce the amount of fleets you'd have to look through.
<&RisingDown> would be a good use of the notes system, since nowadays I don't use it.

A workaround for now - label your big fleets "big" and then use ctrl+f to find them

or simply use ctrl+f to search for the desired amount of ground

I know but to make things easy, no AA - AB - AC - [...] - ZZ etc shenanigans

Fuzz, you go ctrl+f the desired ground on 100+ fleets where you forgot how much you exactly sent to half of them.

when raiding, its a pain sifting through 100 fleets searching for the biggest, then the next biggest ect ect

i say, add a multiple choice of sorting, like planets page but with: Co-ordinates/Empire/ground size = win
