Topic: Rise of the Piranhas sing-up and OOC

I suppose the Rise of the Piranhas thread should be a role-play.  I really don't want to be the only one writing it anymore, and so I would like to welcome RPers to contribute.  I've never started-up a role play, though, and so could use your advice and input.  I would like this role-play to be at minimum a record of the interactions of your empire(s) in the IC universe and a record of your interactions with the IC community.  At maximum, it could be a full-on epic novel / movie / theme for an expanded, 3D, real-time version of this game (I would intend to market the final edited version of the role play to film industry, video-game developers).

This is a non-fiction role play, our story of how the Piranha movement expands in the IC universe.  See this thread for the actual role-play:

Theme and character types:

Overlords: nasty mods of the IC community (aligned with Xennox faction)
Overseers: nice mods of the IC community (aligned with Xentia faction)
Xentia faction: those players who are motivated to instill vigilante-justice in our otherwise poorly police IC universe, bound together by a common desire to coordinate their activities in game and on the forum in such a way as to restore to our IC community the long-lost culture of integrity and honor to the game.
Xennox faction: those players who are bound together and motivated by their commonly-held narcissistic, ego-tripping desire to be a-holes simply for the sake of being a-holes.

Setting / time-line: the beginning of the formation of the factions in the IC universe, your "characters" are your empires, being either Xentia-aligned or Xennox-aligned or Neutral, as you will.

Whenever you delete or otherwise change galaxies, you are in effect going either forward in time or back in time, to a different "revolution of the universe" indicated by the round number of the galaxy in which you move your empire.  For example.  Let's say I have been playing in PW, and the last round played was PW round 67.  I then want to try Milk-way galaxy and their round is 22.  Well, in effect, I have moved my empire back in time, from the 67th revolution of the universe to the 22nd revolution of the universe (the doctrine of the revolutions of the universe is such that at the beginning of a revolution of the universe is that universe's Big Bang, at which point the universe expands to a certain point and then begins to colapse until the end of the revolution when it has contracted back into nothingness.

i don't get the real thing about the moving back and forth in time so could you enlighten me about that.


and it's still possible to play your own faction it just has to be aligned to either xennox or xentia

Okay, so you can write / play as your own empire aligned with either faction.  Or you could write / play as an empire which is not aligned to either faction. In other words, you can be on the side of good, bad, or you can be neutral.

About moving backwards or forwards in time.  Let's say you are in Sagittarius galaxy, and that round 25.  You can write out your role-play for that round, and, upon completion of the round, you have a couple options: you can continue to round Sagittarius round 26, or yo could switch galaxies.  The premise is that you wouldn't be switching galaxies to a consecutive round 26 of another galaxy.  How can this be explained, then?  Well, the premise is that you are in effect traveling either forwards or backwards in universal time, according to the round number.

It's like this: in the IC universe, all galaxy rounds of the same number are in the same universal time.  That is, Sagittarius round 66 is in the same universal time zone as Pinwheel round 66.
