yeh

put it back to allies 1, its too boring without and 1 Ally makes small fams stronger.

this 16 sector map is BS, making yamas is near impossible, make it 1 sector or 4 sectors.

Less systems. 8 man fams.

Im quite happy with no allies and I highly doubt it suits the smaller fam. Ally NAPs would suck for such a small galaxy. Also its been fun nearly skirmishing with all of the galaxy throughout the round!

- less systems, say around 950. This round we've definitely had too many, even now not all the systems are filled or even barely full.

Systems:  1011 (last round 984 systems)
Families: 16
Family size: 10
Max allies: 0
Length: 6 weeks (6 weeks last round)
Attacks and ops: 2 days delay
Market: No delay
Resources: 5x

This was the current round.

We as mod team were thinking somewhere along the lines of:

Map size: 80x80 across 4 sectors
Systems:  around 900 since we cant exactly determine how many it will be (last round 1011 systems)
Families: 20
Family size: 8
Max allies: 0
Length: 6 weeks (6 weeks last round)
Attacks and ops: 2 days delay
Market: No delay
Resources: 5x

this round wasnt long enough, a few lower fams made a great comeback lately without much time left to do anything wink

Map size: 80x80 across 4 sectors                 --> Fine, as long as you get rid of the 16 sectors. 80x80 will also give less systems, which should also be good.

Systems:  around 900.

Families: 20                                             --> Is that even attainable? I'd say more like 15. Have the gal fill up at the very least. Differences in fam size due to gal not being full with only affect the round in a negative way, worse than lack of extra spots (plus didn't mods have the ability to add planets to HS's now to add players? Could always make family sizes larger during the round)

Family size: 8                                          --> Family size: 8-10 is fine. Not too big, not too small to allow for the gal to fill up but not have to repeat the boring 6-man round.

Max allies: 0                                            --> Max allies: 1. No allies is boring.

Length: 6 weeks (6 weeks last round)         --> As usual, nothing special. Rounds should stay short in PW, that's what makes it different from the long, tedious MW rounds.

Attacks and ops: 2 days delay                    --> As usual, nothing special. Although it's probably pointless, but at least it stops people who are just out to ruin other people's rounds.

Market: No delay                                     --> As usual, nothing special.

Resources: 5x                                         --> Nice high amount of resources for a quick short round.

When a family offers your family a free pnap after the first few ticks, as your situation is hopeless and they do not intend to farm you, do NOT act on previous grudges or even grudges carrying over from other galaxies and jump wiz in a feeble attempt to hurt that family that has offered you a pnap...
It is not gonna turn out well for you.

People need to learn to let go of grudges and play smartly.

RD its the same amount of players as the current one and this galaxy was filled at the start also (had only the ghost spots left)

Pnap was offered to Spacecat who is the leader after like 250 planets down, he said he wanted to fight till EoR.  I even tried to get Poley and Rest to take over leadership and take the nap.  Lee and RD may be idiots but they did offer peace quickly and fairly.

Go back to 4 sectors,  allies are a must. As always less systems.  Everything else should be same.
