A typical bicycle lane for a mile costs between $5,000 to $50,000 dollars http://www.walkinginfo.org/engineering/roadway-bicycle.cfm This does not include congestion costs or loss of parking costs (a bicycle land in each direction uses enough space to almost equal one car lane)

A typical jungle gym costs approx $1000 dollars separate of install cost.

Since a mile of bicycle land can be used by a maximum (approximate) of 40 people, a jungle gym is good for about 15 children, and a mile of walking path can probably handle 60 people to facilitate 10% of the population (taking age ranges into account) the total costs would 720 billion on the low end and 17.5 TRILLION on the high end.

17.5 trillion dollars is $17,500,000,000,000.. The Gross Domestic Product of the United States is 14.59 trillion dollars.

So it is quite impossible to provide enough to meet even 10% of the population in providing such 'space' to them.

So why does this administration, aka Obama, have plans to put out such things anyways? He only wishes to pay off his extremist supporters.

See this is what you call a "warm and fuzzy" item. Few will disagree that excercise will help, however the number that will use such things is far different. For even if we built up walking paths to accomidate 10% of the population, only 0.1% will actually use them.

By the way that would require 6 million miles of walking path, 9 million miles of bicycle lanes, and about 3.6 million jungle gyms. Considering the United States is 3.79 million square miles...

So this is proof Obamacare is not for everyone in these things, only to be payoffs for supporters of the party in power.

Payoffs are a bad thing to vote for.
