Pretty sure they got rid of them due to server space - but couldn't they just make it an offsite link like imgur or something anymore?

I think they got rid of it due to abuse. Someone created on that was the size of your regular race screen, everyone thought their race was one thing when it was another or some such nonsense.

They can limit the forum avatar size they should be able to limit the race pic size.

And/or any abuses would be easy to report and could be handled by the mods. Not like you can change your race once the round has started.

there was a similar problem w fam pics.  i remember people used to take a pic of the fam and change the numbers around to make players look bigger or smaller.   

but yeah, it shouldn't be too big of a deal to put some kind of width/height restrictions on those
