I'm sure 5804 would have declared too, but 19 still has a declaration on us.


Here's a brief timeline:


19 raids one of our bankers, we pnap immediately.  There's no way we can fight them, so we agree to compensate additionally.  In order to get those planets, we explore and we begin fighting 12 and 98 (12 fought us early in round and slowed our growth, so they had it coming a bit).


We were having fun with 98 and then Fenix (05) fig runs my attacker Weasel and clears some shares.  So when Weasel is rebuilt, we retake and bust some portals of his and some other members (8, confirmed by Teddy in a msg).  Eight shares.  05 retaliates with 04 and miniraids a banker of ours, then declares war.


I will now add in that at the start of the round, I went to 05 and asked for a pnap.  I told them that I had zero intention of attacking them this round (especially Spam, who I try to play with every round and am good friends with), but Teddy would not give me a pnap.  I was told my multiple fam members in 05 that we would not be targeted.  I idled in their chat, told jokes, had fun, and now this.  I guess Teddy never did say that he wouldn't attack, but I guess I expected some courtesy to the guy that was your main infra builder in the 2 previous rounds that you won in MW.  Needless to say, I am mad.


The lesson to noobs, veterans, etc is this: if someone doesn't sign a pnap with you and people make deals under the table instead, they always mean to kill you later.  We're an SS fam - Nightwish and I have operated mostly independently from everyone else in our fam.  We give advice, we encourage teamplay amongst our noobs and we aid them/we are aided if needed (when I was raided by 01, my fam was kind enough to give me planets and cash to rebuild.  I have done the same for them.)  In the end, there is no way to play nice in this game.  Teddy feels a need to increase his planet count so that he can beat his chest at the end of the round and say "look at us, we had a great round!"  Well that's fine, but you're the reason why this game is dying.  Our fam had a good thing going on: we don't have an ally, yet we've fought fairly well to protect our expo'ed planets and we've skirmished well (and cut our losses when bigger fams come "farming").  I am now once again contemplating retirement at the end of the round because there is simply no way for middle-tier families to co-exist in IC anymore.  You are either top 5 or you will be farmed.  I tried a tactic with Nightwish this round where we diplo'ed first and tried to pnap fams that we knew we could not beat.  I actually mirrored the Torqez/Genesis strat from a couple rounds ago.  We were doing fine, and now we are not.



Take what you want 05/04.  We cannot mount a defense against a 2v1 that you've clearly prepared for.  I'm just disappointed that the "deal" that I thought I made with some old buddies of mine is destroyed when the need for planets arises.

And if you think there's a justification to this Teddy, you're completely wrong.  We might be the same general size and nw as you, but we have played two completely separate rounds.  You were lightyears ahead of us and still are - organizationally, infra, attacking ability, etc.  You simply wanted planets from an SS-based fam. 


I can also paste the msg where you said your justification was: "I'm an ass, you know that" but I'm too lazy.



We were having a good fight with 98, now the fight is more or less over.  GG

Did I not make an "under the table" deal with your fam to not hit you guys after you asked for a NAP and I declined? Since then, have I touched your fam at all?

I know Riddler and I appreciate you keeping your word.  I still have a couple under the table agreements with fams and I intend to keep these intact.  This round, for me, was about experimenting with SS and infra so that when I rejoin a teamplay strat, I can better function as a lead builder.  So I appreciate the people that have kept their word to me and not attacked my fam.


But there are other fams that I have made deals with and they have hit us down the road.  This is one of those instances.  While Teddy did not make the deal directly, he sure acted like he was going to lay off our fam this round.  And I know for a fact that others in his fam were quite accomodating to our situation as well.  That's what makes this so frustrating.

I had no intentions of attacking your fam cause you were so damn small earlier in the round. I also declined the PNAP you wanted several times, and not once did you ask me privately for a NAP or any kind of deal man. I consider you a good friend, but how am I ever gonna be able to attack anyone if I constantly have to consider everyone's feelings? Im really unhappy that your acting like this towards me.

I would understand if this was even slightly fair.  The fact is that you called your allies in and jumped 9mil nw to 2v1 a fam that's half SS, half teamplay.  A fam that has no ally support (semi-active, but dead in the water).  I could understand if you wanted to fight us straight up, or even 04 straight up.  But your justifications are laughable.  You "had to attack us" because of pressures from your fam to get planets?  You "had to attack us" because we were similarly sized?  You "had to attack us" because Fenix fig ran Weasel and then after he got his ass whooped by Weasel, you raided some shares that you had with a banker?  Or is the justification because we also took 8 shares (confirmed by YOU) in the vicinity to prevent easy retakes and ping-pong?


And like hell I never asked you privately for a PNAP.  I had a convo on IRC in which I asked for a pnap (IN PM) and you declined for bullshit reasons.  I'm also sure that I've probably not got that convo, due to never giving a crap about having IRC download every stupid ass convo I have.  I remember the conversation, though - you were not engaged at all, doing something else (talking with your fam, masturbating, etc). 



Jumping 9mil nw is the clear intent that you've planned this with ally support for the last couple days (at least).  I guess I should feel honored that you think you need that much over-the-top bullshit to take down a family that was never coming after you, letting you sit in systems that we could have easily taken you out of if we gave a damn about attacking you.



I'm done rambling and ranting - I've said my peace.  Message me when you and your ally both offer us a pnap.

As for Fenix, the story is continually changing now.  Now the story is that since Weasel tried to clear a couple shares a week or two before a war (which you would have had huge nw for and therefore we would be unable to do ANY damage to you), you feel justified in clearing an entire system.  And not only that, but you even failed to clear the one attacker share that you set out to get!  You cleared a banker (quettes) and a quantum (TMNT), yet not clearing of the only portal that mattered to you.  And you feel slighted when Weasel goes after your surrounding portals in an attempt to remove a threat that YOU created when you targeted bankers/ressies in that system?  That's weak.  If this was truly "attacker vs attacker" and you felt slighted by him trying to grab against you before a previous war, you should have msged me and I would have handled it.  OR you should have just tried to remove his portals ONLY and not gone after harmless bankers and ressies.  I'm sorry, but it is you that escalated things.


You needed an excuse to 2v1 us.  Do what you need to do.

last time we were getting ready for a war against 01/11 your fam (weasel) kept on trying to blow my ports that i had in their general area.  Now that we were getting ready for "something else" i couldn't risk you guys doing that again, so i took you out of one share, just one.  You guys are the ones who escalate it a bit.

yeah since u were attackin into systems that we owned.  We discussed things and i stopped after we talked to your leader who said he has no intention of going for us and a nap was possible so i left you alone.  I would have been fine fighting 05 and continuing our fun with you budzors(98) but to call in 04 is a joke.

oh an for the record i wasnt trying to blow up your ports i was successfully keeping you from getting a foothold in that entire area until i was assured we wouldnt have problems.
