I believe that has more to do with anti-oxidants from grapes, not wine per se. So drinking grape juice would have the same benefits.

Alcohol has some positive effects as well, but after the amount becomes to big, the good things do not outweigh the bad. Scientists debate about that exact amount and its not an easy discussion. Most agree however drinking more then one glass is always a bad thing.
