Topic: Auto cancellation of NAPs

Basically, like you set the cancel countdown, you also set a predefined time limit for the NAP.

ie: we make a nap, have the choice for it to last 1/2/3/4 weeks or Permanent with a 24/48/72 hr countdown on the specific week(s) long NAP.

This decreases the chance for 1 fam to jump on another when theyre down. Also increases planning involved with NAPs, to not allow them to cancel too close together.

If you cant work out a lenght, you dont NAP. Less NAPs equals more top fams fighting and smaller fams a chance to clear shares longer.

Did I explain so its clear as mud? hmm

yes

Re: Auto cancellation of NAPs

And? tongue

also setting the max at 4 weeks should allow for everyone to fight each other once before roughly the middle of the round. Only allow it so you can only NAP one fam once a round too

Re: Auto cancellation of NAPs

you should be able to sacrifice population to move up the cancellation

Re: Auto cancellation of NAPs

poley you wanna make sure you can skirmish, nap, fight & then pnap afterwards otherwise wars would be never ending, aside from that i like it

I don't really agree, diplomacy is a big part of the game and it's the players job to ensure they aren't "caught when they're down". Timing is a good thing to have!

Re: Auto cancellation of NAPs

diplomacy has failed

Diplo is a big part in the game, this doesnt take away from that, it makes you think more wisely as to who you should have NAPs with and when you should make them. This would add a timing factor into it. Not a "Hey, we should cancel on this fam 2 days after they finish their major war" luck of the draw/infrawhore under your current NAPs till youve out done every one elses infra.

The problem with Diplo is too many hide behind it, "We are napped to every one else" "We want an EoR war with [yoda]" We should be forcing the bigger guys to have to deal with each other more often.

Seems there is always 2-3 top alliances and the race to farm the other fams the quickest.
