http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/constitution_transcript.html

That is the preable.

This is the section HotDogBun quotes... in its entirety

This is me saying... what General Welfare? In it they list mostly military and administrative functions.

So defend your statement and my point.

That the words General Welfare show up does not equate to a welfare check handed out by a General.

It means the protection of the United States.

That is the sum and conclusion of the exchange you avoided in the other thread. Opening up another thread and pasting proof that I was right does not change that. There's the general welfare clause, right where I said it was. You said it resided in the preamble, and claimed the preamble doesn't exist in truth. Now you post both the preamble and the proof that the general welfare clause is in article one as i stated, for what purpose? Proving you were wrong? That's the end of the discussion, have fun getting some kind of circle jerk going to keep your idle mind distracted from your error.

Re: The Constitution

You know what I meant. I mean your pitiful excuse does not exist there, and the preamble is the one libtards usually quote because the one you brought up clearly defines reasons for taxation and oh look... nothing about healthcare, abortions, or social equity.

Re: The Constitution

"and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity"

In order to create domestic justice and rights of freedom to those contained within the new borders of the United States of America, and to those future generations yet to be born.  Back then, what constituted justice and freedom and rights, arn't the same as what an idiotic 15 year old kid thinks is his rights.  They had to insure those freedoms by communications and military, and a government structure.

Basically they needed to protect those rights by the use of new lines of communication, new armies, and new laws.

That post above is pretty easy to understand.  And 230+ some odd years ago, a group of wig wearing and non-wig wearing colonials understood what they needed to make it happen.

We just find it difficult today because back then, like so many idiotic levels of government, they left the interpretations so open, it might as well have been one giant loophole to sneak in any interpretation by whoever is in office.  Much like how senators and governors and presidents always state, "God given rights", even though the declaration of independance was not written by god.  Try to wrap your head around that one.
