rule 1.  Don't attack Families 1/2 your size.

rule 2.  "asking for planets is wrong"

What Orbit is saying, is that even tho we re allowed to attack a family half our size....we should know better. But I disagree, when I started out playing this game I was a n00b and I got farmed CONSTANTLY. Big fams would get into my systems and rip me apart all the time. This BS that the game had more honour back in the days is not true, farming went on constantly, difference was that ppl put up alot more fights back than. Now they just cave in.

I think the biggest problem right now, is that the competition is always placed in a few families....drafting is good and fun, but I also think its one reason the competition is alot less. If we would have good leaders and players in several families, it would be alot more even. Now you draft in 3-4 really good players, who knows how to organise the rest of the 8 players in the fam + getting lucky and getting some really nice randoms.

If I were in a smaller fam and not competing for the win, I would just let the larger fams HAVE it! I would OP, retake and just be annoying and persistent and wait for them to get cancelled on! AND than let them have it even more, in the future bigger fams would think twice before farming me.

If I know that player A always caves in, ill farm him and let him pay me. Is it because im an ass? no its in human nature.

Example: last round and the round before that, I decided to attack a smaller fam....both times Tobi were in those families and both times he decided to fight back HARD. Both times he caused huge problems, because we were bout to engage in bigger wars. Now in the future, ill think twice bout ever warring Tobi without having a much more solid game plan no matter how big hes family is.

My point is, everyone should do this. Next reshuffle round im just gonna random and do exactly this, gonna teach some of the bigger fams a lesson

i agree with orbit..

and its always the same dudes who farm or kill fams for fun.. sad to say some of them are vets..

and the biggest fail is that every fam that farms is  lead by vets that are inactive when they have a small fam.. but in a big one they farm the entire gall..

so sad..

just go with what you have, if a target has no ability to beat you, don't fight em.. atleast not for more than 5% of there sise..

and don't go bullying just cus your bigger..

if your small, just work up and be active you'll have fun !

just one rule realy applies.

if a fam surrenders, don't continue.. never kill the fun for others.. it is becaulse of this that newbs never stay and the game is dieing..

farming is ok but not more than a little bit.. don't go kill there entire fleet and than say oh' it was only 10 planets..

or like 19 did to us this round mw.. kill my entire pop, take 15% or so of our sise all becaulse of us taking them out of our center core witch they explored to be able to attack us lol..

just butt off and play the game fair.. if you can't beat your own sise enemies don't fight and go banker

okies, we seem to be missing the essence of this whole situation here.

First off, we never declared war on, nor attacked orbits fam, or their allies. We just cancelled a nap. We had too many of those, so you cancel a couple. Were we going to attack them? Who knows, but usually we dont attack fams that small, except for tactical reasons, which would never have cost them 100 planets. So this is the scene that then unfolds :

us : hello there, we kindly inform you that we cancel our nap with you
them : noooooooooooooooooo
us : erm, yeah
them : but you cant, you mustnt, you ..... aaaaaaaaaargh ! please re-nap us?
us : but we dont want nap
them : we'll give you planets
us : oh dear
them : really, how about 100 planets?
us : if you put it that way, 100 free planets for some paperwork, sure.
them : we hate you
us : euh, wait a sec ...

them -> run to forums to whine and insult smaug.

Now tell me, are we cowards and dishonorable for actually just cancelling a useless nap that was just clogging up our diplomacy thread, or are they cowards and stupid to boot for offering free planets for a nap without at least seeing where this went, and insulting the leader of one of the biggest fams in the process? just my 2 cents of course.

Smaug didnt do anything wrong, he is playing with in the rules of the game. I dont see what the big deal is?

His fam is bigger than yours because they got more organised with there players and did well, I mean its not HIS fault they are big and u r small! 

Orbit I understand ur frustration but dude next round just get a more organized fam? I mean this game is about the bigger fighting the smaller.. Eventually the big fams will also fight, it always happens, this is nothing new. When the big fams fight there will also be a smaller one out of them. Cant go around blaming smaug for ruining your fun and ur round and for ruining the game! he just is more organized and has good players in his fam that were clearly more active, that is no reason for him to get any blame.

Lone Retard, I mean Lone Tiger, are you in either of these families? Because if not you are getting mighty angry over something that doesn't affect you. As for the honour thing, they aren't saying it's a rule, it is the question of could vs should. But anyways.

why not just cut down on the number of drafts so these "farming" families are less likely to exist? say...down to 2 per family perhaps. If you have more than 2 friends you're dying to play with, then have them draft into another fam and ally them. and reshuffle every round.

Yeah it seems like it means that any good families are not allowed to attack or be involved in any conflicts, all of the sudden I dont think winning is so much fun anymore? maybe its just better being in a small n00blet fam so I can attack and war ppl!
