If we make the tick 30 min instead of 1 hour.. 1st off i wont be telling my wife ill be home in  " 3" ticks.. tongue and secondly people these days.. Including the ones playing and anyone new don't want to wait around so long for the game. and in the start of the game movement is SO slow.... If we had 30 min ticks you can get all u need done in that time and you don't need to find so many "time killers" waiting for ticks that then pulls you away from the actual game!

Also means you have to be more active.. and it helps the game that way as well.
Also could mean shorter rounds... Who really needs to play for 3 months for 1 game?
1 1/2 month's would work...... with the same amount of ticks..

An idea I myself have thought of. The only real negative side to having 30 minute ticks is when it comes to major building or sending of fleets. Sometimes an hour starts to feel real cramped and 30 minutes would make it hard.

However, sitting around for 85% of the round twiddling my thumbs is not great fun either

Sofar   making shorter ticks whould be a nice addition for IC .. we do lack the people for a special galaxy but yeah i whould like a galaxy with faster ticks.

not like electroverse ticks from 10 minutes and even a minute tick      that was to fast for me but yeah 30 minutes whould be nice and then instead of 2/3 months  cut down by half orso.

plenty of people who like a challange, also for in the weekend start friday even till sunday eve, and then 1 min ticks wont matter. make it dual player fam. im sure there wil be some interest from our player base.

but if the server can handle it... thats another question ;p

so update tick no one can do anything.

Will benifit players which can login from thier work and stuff more then those that work jobs that they cant check in every 30 minutes.

Farming will increase as instead of just cleaing the portal share and the 1 ticker now you clear the 2 ticker also.

fams will die faster more players will leave.

Tbo will be playing with himself like when he was 18 and didnt have a date for the prom. just him Mary Palm and her five sisters.

Also Ectro was way to fast with the 1-10 min ticks

30 min would work a lot better.. If you are finding "time killer games" eventually thats what u will play and now this game

lol you'd miss twice as much of the game when u sleep. pop bankers would need twice as much food, so if the person supplying it cant make it online twice as often thats it. same with upkeep for fleet. it would be a good idea if it didnt rely on more activity since alot of people just cant do it.

all arguments u bring in jets r flawed we now also got so called hardcore gals, if annything would be hardcore its faster ticks!
and thats why u give people the choice to join a fast gal or not. problem solved.

Lol yeah they'd just have to try harder, but for some people its impossible giving a new advantage to already advantaged players tongue. this would be nice in a seperate galaxy tho ha ha

Faster ticks just makes the game more unbalanced cause the only ones really gaining are the active families who are allready at the top most of the time...

and so on, in tic 60 the tic length stays at 60 minutes til the EoR

Problem is one hour ticks are perfectly good. But IC should include some sub-games, like chess, suduko, or a pub quiz to make it sticky between the hiurs

l2r mizzle, thats why its a choice people make, give them 2 gals, one fast one normal.
both happy, the actives who want faster ticks and the other people who can stick to the normal gal.

lol Paininside take it easy, it was a reasonable answer to the original idea tongue. Anyway custom galaxies would be the ideal outcome to this and or other ideas which are alike, but with our player count and current server it is not too realistic.

how bout we have one gal where the ticks is 30mins. but theres a time limit on how long you can be online a day say like 8hrs a day. no one would have an advantage

Why nnt just make the next sd round have 30 min ticks? that way this gets tested out and also the new sd round is different big_smile

make it 4 weeks and 30min ticks.
72 hrs nap = 24hr
48 hr nap = 16hrs
24hr nap = 12hr

or is there no naps tongue

Also, I'm sure there is no way to make the ticks different without a huge overhaul of codes and what not.. I don't see that actually happening  tbh.

But if it was possible there could be 2 diff gals like said above

1 that " active" plays can play and have FUN and not have to wait around for inactive twats.

and another gal where its 1 hour not 30 min for the ones who can't get on as much

So the active ones when killing time in the 30 min gal" it will happen" they can play the hour tickly one aswell.
