I like this idea but i think it should be limited to only soldiers. Im gonna throw it into the Think Tank thread and see where it goes.
Maybe only have 1 person with a " tag" be able to do this. As a banker raid when they log off .. getting aided would be worthless raid
If you could send soldiers like you could anything else, it all balances out. Think about the possible scenarios....
1. a fam member is starting to get raided. hes not online. Quick send him soldiers whoever is online!! One of the sucky things about this game is what happens when your not active. You can wake up and find you got raided into pmode. This would actually help the people who just cant be as active as others, thus increasing their enjoyment of the game.
2. So you sent your soldiers to Empire A but now you have none. Your now a vulnerable target until either a) you build more soldiers or b) someone else aids you some. Aiding soldiers can be used against you as well. An attacker can try to bait the active players into sending away soldiers to the one empire not online as a ruse into raiding them instead.
3. The soldiers you sent Empire A got slaughtered along with his own force. Hes still getting raided. Who has extra soldiers around here? Oh yay so and so the resourcer just logged in.
Which brings me to point 4.... You now have a new type of resourcer, the soldier farmer. You could have an empire with a good construction make soldiers for everyone else with a lower con. Soldiers could get passed around with the family bank. Making for some interesting strategys.
you call it interesting stratagy. I call it the big just gets bigger.
This idea in no way helps a small fam.
This idea is not well rounded or thought of.
This idea make large fams untouchable and widen the gap even more between the top and mid level fams even.
and another downside on this idea is how can you tell an offline fammember is gonna be attacked . and more importantly where.
and then how to get there in time if you yourself have no portal there could you use his ? and what if the other dude is portalled so that would mean that instead of 0 ticks to attack it would take him 1tick so then what is the point of building offensive portals.
mind you i'm not against the idea in principle but against it as it is portrayed Adrius

and jets is right we got to manny rules in favour of the the organised fams.
if annything we need to do is help out the shitty ones.
if a fam has 14 peops x 8 explos a 10 man fam cannot keep up, atleast give them the chance to get 14x8 also.
position fams evenly through the map, with same system build up arround them. (equal chances, now some fams get lucky and spawn in a area easyer to defend or sometimes 2 ticks next to another fams home)
make fams smaller, so theirs actually plenty of vets in anny fam arround instaid these fwew top fams being drafted together (1 vip 1 draft tops).
increase bureacrazy and decay exponentionally, now top fams stil pay the same percentage as small ones, they wil never be able to grow closer eco wize. if they would get slaughtered the militairy way only shows their lack of atacking skills/attackers. and not simply not having a chance of doing annything purely due to crappy eco or mistakes from fwew early at the rounds.
Give people the chance to fight back! ic is based on a exponentional growing curce, but that curve shouldnt be so steep! it brings in more conflict more fun, more members!

i diddn't want to wright my complete idea at first as i wanted to see if there was interest for it or not. i also wassn't realy sure about some points and needed some opinions to be able to formulate my idea and thoughts better.

Aiding part:
1. aiding soldiers only seems reasonable to me(other fleet would be overpowered). but there must be a penalty that wouldn't make it profitable to do. i came up with 2 options
- at first i thought about a tag that would lower your conbonus a sertain amount, but then you will just aply the tag after your done building. you can make the tag so that it's "aiding" effect go in after a few ticks but the conbonus penalty immediatly. this will force a fam to have a member tagged for long periods at a time(if you want to be able to defend yourself against raids). witch will effect this members ability to build infra. i was thinking about atleast -40% conbonus(gathered points, so your max conbonus can be technicly 59%) together with a 25% unit loss when aiding. meaning the person who's getting the fleet would only need 20% conbonus to be cheaper the the tagged one(note: that's only if he builds after being tagged)
- To avoid fams building soldiers before getting tagged you can use a higher % unit loss instead of -% conbonus. to get the same ratio as stated above something like 75% unitloss. than you also won't need a new tag
2. the aided fleet should be traveling for 1 tick. as you and your fammeber (normally
) both have a portal on your hs. i know, portal is instand. but if you'd make it instand you could abuse the "larger" attack(2, lol) force with lower nw. so the tick's nw-recalc should have it's effect first.
3. be able to aid as much soldiers as you want. type in the amount you want to aid, just like normal aid. (@AA, that way you can be sure you have plenty left for yourself.)
Stationing part:
1. be able to station any fleet you like on any planet of you fam. only sols/droids and figs are usefull ofcourse. ![]()
maybe you can make a box in the attack page to set your attack on stationate.
2. fleet duration/costs for stationing should be the same as sending fleets to your own planets.
in your fleet page (stationlist) maybe a "F" for "Friendly" upfront or behind the coords.
3. also, if you are able to station you maybe can improve the game otherwise aswell. what if you can mark planets in your planet list (like when massbuilding) and save, with the option to not defend when attacked by a fammember. when attacked the troops you have on that planet will automaticly station and defend for your fammember until you recall them. All not posible when you have a portal on the planet.
thats about all i got so far, what do you think?
