Topic: How to Stop Election Hacking....

Use a long set of cords... the cpu gets put in open view of workers, the keyboard and monitor go in the booth, and a wireless mouse.

No access to the box means no hacking.

Considering the contracts for security on this are null with my method, I want 10% of their amounts...

Maybe it's different where you are, but there's not really much privacy with the computer voting systems here.  There's a couple cardboard sheets that block the view from the side, but the computers are always sitting right out in the open in the middle of the room.

over here it it to common to see the CPU in the cloth box the voter enters... entirely out of view of anyone...

Not that I am a huge conspiracy theorist, BUT, "and a wireless mouse" couldn't that be hacked from an adjacent booth? I mean you could control the wireless aspect from an adjoining booth.

Also I still think any form of electronic voting is still susceptable to tampering, I mean how are the CPU's handled? How do you ensure each and every machine is free from malicious software? How can you tell if the information has not be tampered with post voting (I mean if there was a recount, etc). When it comes to electronic voting, there are still ways in which tampering can/will occur (and the same goes with traditional ballet boxes)...no system is 100% flaw proof....

Well there is that. Maybe a really long mouse cord then... I am not liking the idea of having the box where a person can reach it. I also believe the boxes should be under camera coverage to prevent ballot box people from tinkering with them.

All machines would need to be constantly monitored, from manufactor to ballot counting. Also, how are the ballots counted? I certainly hope they are not transmitted over the interwebs (yet another security risk, both for the individual machines as well as the central counter)...
