On Friday our chancellor Mrs. Dr. Merkel may finish their analysis of: "How to save the European Currency. Part: X?" With some luck we will know how the EU will manage to reach the next year with its own currency still working and if the world economy will or won't run into the worst depression since the 1930s (if the Euro fails).

In the last about 1000 years the center of europe (since 1871-1945, 1949-89 and 1990-2011 as a state(s), 1945-49 occupied) played a crucial part in world history. In so many times everything started and ended with germany or the german states. Some examples of the last 200 years: 1813, 1815 (2x), 1864, 1866, 1871-1918, 1919, 1922, 1923, 1933, 1939-1945, 1949-61, 1989/90, since 2009... Who would have imagined that after 1945 the world would ever depend of the decisions of our government? Is it the fate of germany to hold the fate of our world in its hands?
