Topic: i....has a virus

ok so my comp is randomly sendin ppl messages via msn messenger a link.

i am not doing this, i have run virus scans and they picked up nothing...any bright ideas?

Did you recently click on any link and give your details (Username + Password) away?

Otherwise you probably do have a virus.

oh i've got that before

you accepted a virus file from someone on your msn list, who had it

it basically works like this:
X person on your msn list has the virus, the virus makes it seems like X person is sending you a file like a picture, but it's actually the virus, you accpet it and it will give you the virus, and it will start doing the same thing with people on your msn list

i had it, and i was going to change my OS that time anyways so it got removed there, but people tell me if you delete and re-download msn, it shouldn't work anymore

lol, my 'rubbish' norton antivirus picked it up and got rid of it when i got it from sum1 tongue

otherwise iv heard ppl say u need to reformat your harddrive

well its more obvious when a guy sends it to you speaking in dutch(knowing that i dont speak dutch) and its a guy iv never met b4, but who says he found an old picture of us tongue

undeath, you don't neccessarily have to accept, keep the msn window open too long and you will still get it, i don't know how that's possible or if it's definetly true, but a couple of my friends have got it but they never accepted any file

lol..best thing to do is cancel and then close the window

I highly doubt that is true, it is impossible to receive files when you let a window stay open too long since MSN automatically cancels when it thinks you wait too long with accepting it.
