That sounds odd to me.  I thought breathalyzers tested the ethanol from a breath sample, and calculate the BAC from that.

Suddenly, Gwynedd is here!

The last statement is incorrect. It would register (which is correct) but the roadside instrument used in australia measures breath alcohol. The reason it would still register is because as your blood stream passes your lungs there is transference, and in this case it would continue to come out into the lungs creating breath alcohol.
