On a small, out of the way planet, in an often used bar, was a meeting. At first sight, this meeting seemed like every other meeting that took place, but it was one of the many in an ever growing web on intrigue and mystery.
The bar was full of a variety of creatures, all going about their business, buying drinks or playing various gambling games. Clouds of smoke floated near the ceiling and in some areas it was difficult to see through. In a corner, sat two men. One was wearing casual clothes, and the other wore a hooded cloak that covered his face.
"You know the information I require." The casual man stated.
"Yes." The hooded figure said.
"That wasn't a question. I need this information." The other said, careful to keep his irritation in check. Neither man spoke for a little.
"The information I have is not cheap." The hooded figure said. The other man, named Lo2478 or Lo for short inwardly sighed. He knew he would have to part with money but it was something he tried to avoid. There was something a little off about this man he thought. He quickly comes up with a plan.
"I suggest a trade. I currently require iron and endurium for a personal project." Lo asked casually. The other man was quite for a short moment.
"I may have access to a small amount of both." He said, confirming Lo's fears. He kept his frustration under control and let the imposter continue. "Ten thousand GC, and in return I can give you the information and five hundred units of both iron and endurium."
"If you make it six fifty of both, then we have a deal." Lo said. He was already wasting time continuing this pointless conversation, but he had his duty.
"That is pushing it very far, however I agree on those terms. If you accept, I'll place the order on the galactic market, and I'll include the information in the shipments."
"I agree." Lo said, thinking it was about time to end this. "However, I would like to know how this is isn't violating the Xentia code?" He asked. The imposter was silent for a second before speaking.
"I am part of a group that have unrestricted access to all available tools. We are allowed to bend the code when we see fit." He lied. Lo noticed he was slightly restless and realized a second late he was about to flee. He flipped the table at Lo and ran. Lo recovered and sprinted after him, knocking other patrons over. He didn't pause to see how they were, but kept running. The imposter exited through the back alley door, with Lo right behind him. Lo stopped and pulled his pistol from a hidden pocket. He stopped and aimed down the sight. Before the imposter had time to evade, he fired a bullet which struck the man between the shoulder blades. He spun and fell while Lo advanced. He reached the man who was now struggling to breathe. He looked up with pure hatred in his eyes.
"You will never get that information!" He spat. Lo looked down at the dying man. He looked at him and he poured the contempt, frustration and anger into the bullet he fired through the mans head. Sighing, he turned and left before the authorities came.
