Xeno, reread my original post. I had it being capped at an increase of 1 op per tick, so if you have 50 of the planets you still only get 1 extra op per tick.

I like xeno's idea on this, and was going to suggest it myself once I got the willpower to write up a post.  tongue

Seems like the best balance... and it means players actually have to work to maximize the benefit from op planets, rather than the "+1 op per tick, max 1" system.  That system just makes it way too easy for oppers to receive the benefits.

I'm not saying that Xeno's idea is bad, I think probably it is the most appropriate option, however only if 0.1 of an op can be factored into the game code. No matter what, I think it should be capped at a maximum increase of 1 op per tick.

I don't know if the cap should be only 1 op regen / tick, though...maybe more maybe less.  I agree there should be a cap.

At an average of +0.1 to +0.2 ops regenerated per tick per planet, you'd have to have 5 to 10 of them to reach +1 op per tick regen cap.

How many +moral planets do you currently have to have on average to reach moral bonus cap?

It should be the same, whatever it is.

Currently 5 morale planets gives you maximum bonus for morale. Any more are just a waste. As for the rate of increse, capped at 1 op per tick seems fair to me.

the advantidge of people having alot of angeds/wizz = able to succeed with ops. giving them anothr advantidge with extra ops, wil screw the slackers on opp defence even more.
not sure this would be the best idea for a balanced game.

well, i think that opps do and should play a big part in any strategy game, because most wars in history were won on opps, and backed by attrition.
not the other way around.

Painside, by your argument we should remove morale planets because it can be made up for by increasing your fleet to gain advantage! I am not suggesting changing the strength or chance of success of the ops, purely the speed at which your ops regnerate.
