Topic: Lady-bugs are awesome
Over the past few weeks, I'd been noticing lady-bugs flying about the entrance to my home. When I went in and out of the front door, inevitably at least a couple would sneak in.
Now, I knew them to be not only completely harmless, but actually beneficial. You see, I am not the cleanest person. I mean I do clean, usually on a Saturday, but my place is certainly not spotless, and I knew that lady-bugs do a lot of good, actually, in terms of munching on bacteria, and, generally, would keep the place more hygienic than otherwise.
So I would basically leave the front door open a crack for them to come in. Soon enough, there were literally hundreds buzzing and crawling about the various nooks, crannies, and crevices, doing an awesome job of cleaning up the place. Then, after a couple of weeks of cleaning up the place, they sort of amalgamated in various nooks and crannies, looking for warm places to hibernate. They then would turn from red with black poka-dots to nearly completely black, I suppose in order to conceal themselves from predators. Sneaky Lady-bugs! Hehe...
They'd all go to sleep together, in a nice, little clump in a cozy, warm little shadowy alcove. They look sooo cute all clumped up and cozy like they are!
At this point, I really should vacuum them up, but I don't have the heart to do so.
Lady-bugs are so awesome...
(By the way, coincidentally, such, I think, might be a good approach for our Piranha campaign in the galaxies. We could learn a lot from lady-bugs. Think about it.)
