Re: SD Market

^^ What he said.  Any further discussion goes in a thread for a galaxy that isn't intended to be for SS play.
Then again, I said it earlier, and was then quite surprised to see Ps come in and offer a suggestion for altering the way the market moves.
Any casual observation of the round and its events shows that a moving market is a really bad idea, and no variation of implementation is going to be better than fixing one at a certain level.
It's the closest thing to no market at all (my preference) that we can get.  Let Noir see if he can find a way to magic up a way of sneaking infinite cash out of a fixed market, and if not, lets have another round sometime later.

This used to be the best signature ever, but after several years, a mod noticed it had a swear in it, and removed it.  I am happy to see they are paying attention.

Re: SD Market

Noir will always have cash!

But besides that; i really like the idea of a fixed market, the problem has however always been that the prices are hard to set at a reasonable level.

What i assume is the goal of such rounds is to either have people play SS, or allow for several different approaches. Some will be pure bankers, some will be pure resoourcers etc. So far i have yet to see a round wwhere being resource dependant had any merit at all tho.

Re: SD Market

There shouldn't be a market because SD shouldn't have resouces.

Re: SD Market

The problem with no market is that all empires have to be almost excact replicas of eachother, and its boring, close to no wiggleroom
