Topic: Recycling

Instead of razing infra the only option would be to recycle it.
You would get some cash and resources when you do that.
It would take some ticks to hold the planet that you receive the cash and resources (like 8 ticks).

Attackers would have to hold the planets to make their raid efficient and retakers would try to take back before buildings are destroyed (if they retake before the 8 ticks, they keep the buildings).

The point is that u often have early raids (even later raids) where even if ppl retake, they lose all their infra even if they retake immediatly. When that happens they lose all the efforts they put in the round and if it's an expo raid that fam is more or less dead for the round. Ppl delete or go inactive for weeks and are not motivated to play another round.
With that new thing attackers would have to develop new way of playing (take less planets but try to keep them) and retakers would be motivated to try to have planet back and would go more active instead of giving up.

Re: Recycling

good idea, but you should receive it instantly.  will make raids more worthwhile.

- if infra is razed due to networth
OR
- when you delete it yourself

so if i take 30k LQ's from a banker, and then click delete all.  i should get paid for it.

Re: Recycling

defenitly not instantly Orbit, taking down building for recycling takes quite alot of time ;p its not like the buildozer. if u wanna recycle u bare the risk of losing the planets again this to prevent abuse from top fams even more, due to space required to place equipment and containers all your fleet was sent back to mainfleet.

better fams will be impossible to beat, usually their ahead eco wize allrdy and if they would gain more from farming planets...

see my point?
let it have restrictions tbh.

time required to recycle == original building time without con bonus included!(or time required = time to build with con bonus + 3/4/5 ticks or whatever (else top fam 99% con attackers stil can rape the apeshit out of little fams +gain even more then just the planets wich should be enuf if your bringing a Gun to a knife fight.)

if nw agressor < victim = 100%
if 90% agressor nw > victim = 90%
if 10% agressor nw > victim = 10%

for example, i still think this would be to royal to top fams. so shouldnt be a liniar line.

Re: Recycling

I like this idea.

But in this case the infra razed due to networth should be a variable amount too. Logically a battle on a planet doesn't destroy everything, only parts of it depending on the size of the battle.

makes sence IF there were bombers sent and lasers would be present ;p

Re: Recycling

No Orbit, point is to have attacked players to get more active to try to have their infra back instead of just giving up, deleting or going inactive.
As we talked already before together, most players don't want to fight back and that makes the wars boring because ppl don't do a sh*t as soon they lost their plts. When they see big fams coming after them they just give plts for free. If they had a chance to get back all their infra fighting back that would make the things more interesting. That would force the players to change their way of attacking, tactics would change instead of being the sames rounds after rounds and that would give a meaning to have rounds so long, because wars would not be finished after 3 ticks like 75% of wars as we see now.

lol at think green tongue

good idea kollo

Re: Recycling

Let me tell you how it works in another game I've played...

The concept is slighty different from IC, in that instead of capturing a planet - you hit someones fleet.  If they hit your fleet then you lose it (if you lose the battle) + their losses.

What happens is the 30% of the value of the fleet, turns into a Debris Field that hovers above the planet.

Then people send "Recyclers" to harvest the Debris Field.

The Recyclers move realllllly slowly.  So in IC-terms, if you had sent a 4 tick fleet to hit someone's fleet and crash their fleet - you can send your recyclers at the same time, but they take 8 ticks.

This effectively gives the person who got attacked, time enough to log in and recycle the debris himself.  It's quicker for him to travel to the debris field, cos he's sending from his own planet.

You can also ask people in your fam, who are closer to send their recyclers too.

But yea, different game, and the concepts would take a whlie to implement - we don't get those kinda changes in IC easily!

Re: Recycling

You should be able to cancel in-progress units and buildings, and recieve 70% of the value back.
