You mean to say, that the tag point system from bygone years wasn't being used?  For shame!  Like...

Gaining points by winning a round in a galaxy.  1st, 2nd, ad 3rd place families...which were usually the top alliance.  tongue

Gaining points for being helpful.  Which kinda went by the wayside when everyone that became helpful found out they weren't really getting any points or miniscule. tongue

Gaining points for unique Roleplaying...  Some of the tags you are discontinueing, are directly related to the Roleplaying, and you really should reward people the proper points if their Roleplaying tags are being removed. tongue

Of course the points system and how to gain points are directly stated in the Imperial Conflicts FAQ!  big_smile


I don't see how you can update something that's been clearly in the FAQ for a very VERY long time, but in which few people have rewarded the players?

(Polishes Solar Fighter tag)...I got that from being in Anzac.  Apparently in the old days, being in the top 10, top 20, top 100, and also being top winners in a galaxy gained you points.   Is this no longer in effect?

no longer in effect for a long long time, look at me, have lot of ideas posted and questions answered and other stuff acomplished, but my tag is the original they gave me for passing thru Virgo fast and in style

And not to mention other real vets in this game that are carrying a 'player' tag from betas tongue

ok mods are lazy but can we ask em for more?? it a volunteer job, dont forget

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

I havn't played since 2006.  The website reset was back in 2003, and i had been playing a year before then in 2002.

The, "Wait and see...." has been used a lot since 2003.  tongue  Eight years of wait and see.  I'd shake my fist, but i'm to tired and hungry right now, and i'm babysitting my nephew, which is roaring like a dinasour right now.  Yahhhh.

It was his parting gift when he gave in to the pressures and quit the half mod thing supposedly.  Basically its an excuse to not make a friend of theirs upset.

But I agree, if you take down all the custom tags, you should take them all down, including AA's. It's kind of unfair for the other people.

Yep, I agree with this. The other people earned their tags too so how does one manage to get an exception to the rule? Smells like preferential treatment.

Also, I'm pretty sure I built up my tag points rather than had them added on tongue

this had absolutely nothing to do with AA being a mini mod.

it is a simple mistake on my part, i think. I was under the impression AA was the winner of the partax competition. I don't know why.
I'll have to look into why AA had his tag, and what we're going to do about it.
