Topic: Standard Races Strat

I've just realised that I've never gone wardancer, partaxian or quantum.

If I end up in ICSR with one of these 3, I'm going to have to wing it tongue.

anyone want to have a discussion about good strats for all the standard races?

Wardancer - Utilise the attack bonus.
Partaxian - Utilise the magic bonus.
Quantam - Utilise the science bonus.

im guessing there will be aiding, else the revalon will be eff'ed however the wardancer and quantum would make good resourcers, and the partax,revalon would make good bankers and go from there, if there is no aiding more effort will have to be put into cash production where the race doesnt have as big of an income bonus and/or reserch bonus. even then research is often not used until after 10 planets have been built since its not cost effective until OB is a decent option.

at any rate teamwork will be key, using the quantum research bonus to build cheap infra will be critical for growth

OMG, i didn't realize that all these races only had 1 bonus each, makes things much easier tongue

Defo, but Maybe, would it be worth doing it like this?

Rev-Banker
Quantum - banker
Partax - Resourcer
wardancer - resourcer/attacker
camaar - HC attacker



since they both have the same income bonus, maybe with  the higher Research bonus, may be worth Making Quantum banker rather than partax, ?

also, think it would be worth keeping camaar small?
would come in handy keeping them small until the opurtune moment, but at the same time, getting them to Produce more Ressies will benefit the fam on a longer term?

Quantam can go either way, since you have wardancer and camaar to attack with. Probably better to use them as big rez and core cleaner since they do have the droids.

Pax would def be banking in this setup. If you have somebody skilled, pax pop would be better bet than a cf pax since you would only have 2 bankers in the family. The magic bonus would help protect your pop, but if you did go cf pax, would help against OH's also since in a war, your rev is almost guaranteed to get opped to death.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....
