Read that millionaires pay relatively less tax in th' US then th' normal Joe (who might just be a plummer)
How can ye support a party that is against pullin' that straight?

No. Millionaires pay more taxes than the average joe. The complaint is that they don't pay enough. However, my position is that millionaires should not be taxed heavily, because they keep the upper classes in check. Although, I am willing to agree to heavy taxes of individuals with hundreds of millions and billions of dollars, as well as a heavy estate tax on persons with assets valued beyond $50 million or so.

Tax the billionaires not the millionaires.

if you look at official IRS statistics they say that the bottom 50% of americans pay no taxes at all, and that 90% of income tax comes from the top 5-10% of the population or something.

It is much easier for rich people to fiscally masage their income into something not/less taxable, so I'm not sure how the two can be reconciled. I guess that either a lot of people that should be in the top tier tax payers aren't in there and/or that the people who are in there would have to pay even more tax if they didn't use fancy fiscal engineering.

warren buffett wrote an op-ed saying "oh wow lookkee that, I pay 15% of my income as tax but my salaried employees pay about 30%, isn't America awful"

what he doesn't say is that most investors aren't so damn sure that they'll earn that they'd forgo all salary or commission.  If he would take salary or commission then he'd be paying the same upper-bracket INCOME taxes.
second he could write a check to the treasury for any amount.
Those are things warren buffet chose to do, because there was an enemy President and why give up money to help a Republican?
third, his company has been fighting its tax bill for about 10 years.  That's right, America sent him a bill and he said "WTF this is too much money! I'm gonna pay lawyers for a decade to fight this outrageous exaction!"

its easy to say tax the rich, the fun part is finding a way to do this without ruining the growth of new moneys. small business owners, buying assets, offshore accounts. simply put there are countless ways to avoid taxes without a large paper trail or breaking the law, and taxing every business output would simply make the rich leave our country with all the money they stole fair and square. i dont support thier ways but it seems imposible to undo the banana republic we have become.

We used the carrot to lure large business to each of our states...and now it's costing the state and federal government taxable income.
