The planet u just colonized used to be inhabited by an long gone old race, they mastered the endu-ore refinement technology nessesary to create endurium.
Big stashes of the finest quality was found hidden in a building hidden underground.

U can base the ammount of goods found on the planet by the whole galaxys avarage production of the resource x 10 ticks. or whatever ammount, you could even base the spawnrate on the ranking system, if your fam is lowest u get these bonusses more often then top fam. its highly tweakable.

U can make it a rare event, or something more occuring.
This you can even do for droids/fighters or a planet former inhabited by researchers allrdy fb with RC's
u can think of manny short explanations why something is found annywhere.

Nice idea, needs some work to get all the possible 'treasures' worked out to be relatively even to eachother. But definitely a fun idea.

The planet u just explore is inhabited by the army of intelligent Canibals, They eat everyone in your exploraton ship and use the vessel to explore more planets in that system, the system is now out of bounds, great work, you've ruined things for everyone >_<

Not a bad idea, adds a new dynamic to start strats etc especially.

Possibly the discovery could be a multiplication of your own income or something. 

Eg if you make 100k gc/tick - you can find like 300-500k gc.
or if you make 5k iron/tick - you can find like 15-25k iron.

That way in later in the round it's still somewhat balanced...

If you're making 20m/tick - you can find 60-100m gc
If you're making 1m iron/tick - you can find 3-5m iron

The other issue with that though is it then causes larger families who find them have a bigger advantage given to them then.

Perhaps then factor Empire OB into it somehow.  Players with a larger empire ob, have a lower end of the multiplying factor.

But imo, since it's ratio based, I don't think it'll make a difference.  Consider it a 'time advance' of sorts.  Eg, you get 3-5 ticks of your income immediately.  If you don't compare other fams (which you shouldn't since people grow at different rates), then everyone gets the same benefit.

You'd need to make it so it only works once, Cuz If it was me, 'd get a fam member to attack it setting off a nuclear blast, then just explore it again next tick, then get them to blow it up again and so on and so forth

the only way u could make it somewhat balanced, if u take the galaxys avarage of cash production for cash bonus, etc etc.

this way, big fams price is little to what their making, thus not helping them much. but if a top 20 fam gets the price, its a halfday of income for their top banker.

now that helps out the lesser fams greatly and its just peanuts for the top fams.
and to make it even better, u could exclude the top 5 fams from getting anny lewt.
this would allow other fams to get closer to the top 5 nw at bor for example.
