Topic: Morale op

i dunno if this idea is already floating around or not, but atm the small camaar coring a family seems to be a tactic which many dislike and if you don't have a small active guy yourself your only options are to op them, but there are limited ops to actually help against this tactic, my idea is an op which attacks the morale of any player, which in turn could help against the small attacker tactic but also help in any fighting situation.

Destroy Morale - hitting and killing a % of a players current morale, like kill science etc

"success oh mighty one we have destroyed 10% of our targets morale"

Increase morale loss - when cast increases the morale lost by a player after every attack for x amount of ticks

"success oh mighty one our enemy will loose 10% more morale after every attack for the next 6 weeks"

Reduce morale gain - reducing the amount of morale regenerated each tick for x amount of ticks

"success oh mighty one our enemy will gain 10% less morale every tick for 6 weeks"

Re: Morale op

I know atm that there is a pretty good discussion in the mod forums concerning a way to fix coring and make it less of an issue. I was discussing some of it with two mods earlier today as well. I know that they are interested in fixing this issue.

Re: Morale op

I dnt think it's an issue as such, just a tactic that many dislike, but just cos it's disliked doesn't mean it's not a valid tactic, it would just be nice to have new ops like above to give people another defensive option against the tactic

Re: Morale op

Coring is NOT a valid tactic. Its a cheesy bullshit manuever that only the unskilled and desperate resort to. Its far too common the last few years and its ruining gameplay.

Your proposed operation(s) do nothing to alleviate this problem. All those would do is somewhat slow down someone trying to core a family.

As an operation(s) on its own merits......its far too powerful.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!!

Although I dnt use the tactic, I cant say that it's not valid, it's in no way cheating and it's using the games own 35% protection to turn over a family. But let's not go into depth on this subject, as the main point of the thread is the op idea.

The above examples are just that examples, it doesn't have to be 10%, it could ne smaller or larger, so doesn't have to be overly powerful

Re: Morale op

And if it's a op only given to a certain race, ie quantum or wardancer, your never gonna have more than a couple per family at any one time
