Topic: Minigame Galaxies
I think having 2 month long rounds could be too stressful. Some people quit and give up after they spend too much time just to lose it all. (Of course I believe this has more to do with the attitude of the people nowadays more so than the game’s problem)
There could be nice little minigames that does not last that long or are not as stressful.
-------------------------------------
A galaxy where there are no attacks/offensive ops. Goal is to see who can have the most planets and/or networth and/or the best income/resource production (the winning condition can be discussed for balance issues and such later) Just go out, and have fun without having to worry about the other aspects.
-------------------------------------
A galaxy where it’s more so focused on attacking/warring. A simple illustration would be having maybe having a 2 on 2 or something.
The exact detail on how to setup could be difficult. But the idea is for all players to have planets placed around the galaxy with shares and such. Then each team will be given a certain number of resources, they will decide how to spend it on their fleets, and at a given time convenient for both teams, the protection wears off and both sides start killing each other, just like a cancel war but you both have the same starting resources and shares and such.
As for how the planets are placed this is up to the limits of the game. The most basic way I can think of is for the two TEAMs to have a set number of exploration ships for each player. Then they just go off and explore them for free (or they would have to pay for the distance of the exploration which they would have to use from their fleet resources) And then they would portal it up and what not. Then maybe 4-5 days later the timing thing could wear off and the attacks start. This is a more manual approach with what we have available in our normal galaxies already.
This idea could be expanded upon with maybe 3 on 3 where there is a fig guy, ground guy, and a wiz opper guy or something. Or more players with more distinct team strategy roles if people can think of more ideas.
