Topic: Modship: A call to action!

Okay...so just thinking in the interest of the game here, I think we need a few radical changes.

If I try to put the modlist together at the moment, I come up with...

Primo, thirdrock, Mizzle, Walking_Corpse, Final Doom, Arby3, Undeath, Genesis.

...wow, there's actually 8 of you tongue ...doesn't feel like it!


Anyway, no offense to you guys personally, but like...at least 4 of you should give way to people with a bit more personality, game knowledge, influence and....personality.  You might say that some of you havn't been given a chance yet - well yea, possibly, but a lot of people probably think that maybe the correct mods weren't modded in the first place!

My suggestion is to replace:
Walking_Corpse, Final Doom, Arby3, Undeath
with
Whiteshadow, hardcore4eva, AdriusAvangian, Broker

We sure as hell will at least restore the game knowledge amongst the mod team then.  And I'd personally be really curious to see what this colourful group could do!  Genesis is a good addition, and he'll contribute well too.

IC is dying, it's a fact we all know.  But at least we should see what can be done before it goes back to meet Stefan!



PS:  This is just my opinion.  It won't even happen, but I do feel better for having expressed my view!

I agree except for one point, if you are going to make Josh a mod you may aswell make Artic and Arganon mods, no point adding a known retard to the mod team.

I totally agree with changing the mod team. Im sorry but Torqez is right. What is the point of having inactive mods that are barely around?

Also what about proper qualifications? Experience in IC as well as overall gaming experience SHOULD be important. It appears that the current mod team is nothiing but a friend's club.

DISCLAIMER: This is in NO way a personal attack on any of the above people. I enjoy talking to and playing with all of these guys in the game. This is strictly a proffessional evaluation of how i view these people as moderators of an online strategy game. Nothing more, nothing less.

It does seem like the current mod team is just a mates club, and I think AA would make a good mod. AA and I have not always gotten along, but I do think he is active and has a lot to offer this game.

As a player from when this game first started who just recently came back to begin playing again. I have noticed I do not see the mod team around often. And this game has gotten a lot slower due to not as many people in the systems and not very many active players. It is Ridiculous.

As for ur statement Torqez i agree with it 100%, personally most of the lame ass decisions and mistakes have been down to the current mod team.

It needs a change up, i told people this ages ago but no one listened, do u know why?

Becuase if u not in "the Circle" then u have no chance of ever becoming mod, genesis should have been modded along time ago imo

Looks like Lee wants HC4e to be mod...

Im getting excited over the changes that could happen alredy with an experienced mod team yikes

regardless of Hc4e's attitude towards people and his general hate of humans. Just makes him a better mod... he will think about what is actually needed for the game nonetheless he knows the game probably one of the best amongst others and he would put in ideas that actually make sense...

im not saying this cause hes a friend of mine just thinking rationally I fully agree with AA being mod too, his ideas can be radical although ideas are ideas we need them to keep coming so people of IC history can agree to things and collaborate.

Broker is fair. he talks with rationality but i dont think he will agree to being mod if Josh is on the panel haha too much hate right thurrrrr

and WS every mod team needs a Legend. so thats my 2 cents big_smile

h4e will give the mod team nothing, except alienate the players fromthe game even more. fact mate that is.

WS as much of a legend he is, hes not experienced enough for a mod job and i doubt he would work with h4e aswell, especially now KT has left he hasno reason to be a mod tongue

that is also something i mentioned months back, he should never have been de-modded imo

whilst orbit was in charge this game was doing well, he left now look where we are.

Orbit abused his mod powers on a regular basis on top of his cheating that round.  Seems silly to be saying he should be remodded.   And Lee lol, For years I had mods coming to me for advice on galaxy setups and ideas brought up for changes, it was when we lost those mods that we started getting these horrible ones with no knowledge of the game but with cocky attitudes that let being modded go to their heads.

I agree the mod team needs a little shake up, although the likes of Mizzle should stay, he's active and does all that is asked of him. But there are some mods who seem to be inactive and uninterested in what's happening, they should be replaced with whoever is willing to actually get in and get there hands dirty.

Also I don't think constant whining at the mods is helping the situation, if sure if I was moaned at all day I'd soon loose interest
