making it drafted fams pretty much takes away most of the fun.  Make it 1 or 2man fams again imo

1 man fams! Fluctuating Market if the bug can be fixed.   NO building defense stations.

Random = no fun, so you liked who you were with and now will be with different people, you will like those people too... or you can go back and play in mw
No aid = the difference of this round, a chance to be true SS and have a chance to survive
no market = no more problems!

1 draft would be cool, so long as you dont need a vip. then at least you ensure one other player with you and not just inactives

Why would it be silly? Most people voted for random round, a few are in favour of drafting im trying to find a solution here...

It's as much a trial round as anything to see whether the format works.  The complaints about "I was doing well, I want my old fam back" are silly.  What about those who had crap luck and want better fams?  Or who can't get drafted.

This round, this setup, is about making yourself an SS race, and proving how awesome you can be without aid.
Sure, it helps to have active family members who can assist you militarily, but that's the only advantage you can gain from something beyond your direct control.  Making it draft would clearly tip the balance in favour of the active vips with good friends.
Those people should be looking at the chance to play more or less by themselves as the ultimate challenge, for extra bragging rights in the forum/chat, not as part of an uberfam which wins by having more active members than others.
Again I'd point out, that this is a trial round to play around with a format that hasn't been done before (though I suggested it how many years ago?) so winning shouldn't really be your main aim when playing.

Go enjoy the personal challenge instead, win or lose.
Incidentally, I would actually quite like to play, though won't be active enough to last long, the downside of HC, but it's not important enough to cry too much over.

I agree with Warsie.

Going random will emphasise the whole SS element of the round and it really will be survival of the fittest. Making it draft will just make it into a galaxy where those with the most active friends wins, kinda like MW atm.

I vote all random, no drafts.

Like many have mentioned before this is about challenging the SS-natured of us. If you wanna be social with people, join IRC.
Anyone can build a decent team and do well, we know that from what 50rounds of experience already? Some even more?`

Keep it SS, keep it HC, keep it random and keep the market as is, but with no bugs. I liked this format. Not cause I was doing well...cause I was...but rather because its a NEW challenge for once. Made me WANT to log in and be active in my fam.
WANT to keep pushin on to the next level. WANT to make my very own strategy and see how it compared to other folks thoughts and ideas oh how an SS empire should be ran.

So please. Just fix the bug, and reopen the round. Asap. Thank you:)
