1 Kingdom of Caring (5369)
nw after deduction of planets: 18033
This fam truly has one of the best map spots in the gal. They could control S1, move up north to S3, or assist their ally in S2 (5361). The possibilities are limitless (obviously not, as there are 3, but you get the point). Together with that they have a great eco: after a tough start with some bankers not showing up on the first tick, the fam rebounded with some early expos and building. Together with their allies, I reckon this fam to be one of the strongest in the gal, especially looking at their line-up. Members include: Templare, Metrex, Hoit, LoM, TMNT, Munder, Rchie, H4e, Finaqua, and RisingDown.

eco: 5/5
attacking: 4/5
verdict: contenders ftw.

2 Meeting up in Asgard (5371)
nw after deduction of planets: 17115
With the worst map spot in the gal, surrounded by 4 fams, this fam is in for a tough ride. Early skirmishing over space can and should be expected, as they struggle to form a core. They seemed to have a small mishap with a few bankers not being on on the first tick as well, but this got sorted out quickly. If their infra continues to be pumped at the rate it is now, and their attackers are competent, they may be able to turn this situation around by actually eating some of the 4 fams surrounding them. Still, I think it'll be a hindrance and cause unneccesary spending early in round, which is why I think these guys won't win the round. However, their leader sounds confident and I think they will do good. Most of their members are well hidden, or unknown, the only 2 that are noticable at this time are Coldice (Chees) and Mizzle. Although whether the latter is an asset to the fam and not a hindrance is still up for debate wink.

eco: 5/5
attacking: 3/5
verdict: contenders top 5 (due to shitty map position)

3 BAD news for PW (5361)
nw after deduction of planets: 17159
Another great fam. Doing good on eco, looks like almost all of their bankers showed up first tick to build the last few cf's. Have the possibility to share a huge core together with their allies, which they are surely planning on  doing. No mishaps on infra so far, although they did build eships quite early which i can't agree with. However, we will see if this damages the fam too much, which I doubt it will. Great line-up as well makes this fam one of the all-star fams this round, with Flipmode, Rogue, Kpax, Crazyone, Geese and many more. They won last round, and the core group stayed, so it'll be interesting to see if they can pull it off again!

eco: 5/5
attacking: 5/5
verdict: contenders ftw

4 BK Burger King (5362)
nw after deduction of planets: 13873
Had a very good start, but then a slight dip around when mf's and rs's were supposed to come in, as well as the first cf's on the first few expos. Inactive reccies? Doesn't look like it, as they rebounded nicely. Seem to be doing decent on eco, however they are quite planet fat. Their members include Pickle Army, Colorado, Cloud, MJ and Easyway and a few unknowns, which should give them a decent line up and good attacking power. Map position is meh, they have some opportunity to explore eastwards into S1 but for the rest they would have to go through other fams to gain systems. This should not be too much of a problem with these attackers though.

eco: 4/5
attacking: 5/5
verdict: contenders ftw

5 OVER-Rated (5366)
nw after deduction of planets: 14577
Their leader didn't sound to positive about his own fam, however, they are not doing too bad so far. But is this because this fam is doing good, or because other fams are just doing worse. Apart from a few names such as FA, FLMX, Kenpachi, RebelZombie and Dweeb, it seems this fam lacks known people (or they are hiding). However, with complaints about inactivity, I fear this fam is going to be struggling once 71 starts to look for space.

eco: 4/5
attacking: 3/5
verdict: pretenders top 5, contenders top 10.

6 McDonalds (5363)
nw after deduction of planets: 14418
This fam has been doing decent so far, however, their map position gives them a lot of room to expand, as they are 1 of the 2 fams in S4. Notable players in this fam are InSaNe, Orion and Sol Invictus, and is that Lohan? I'm not sure. Another thing I'm not sure about is their allies. If 62 (based on fam themes) are their allies they should have a decent alliance, however, their hs's are miles apart and they may struggle to get close to each other, which would make this alliance very vulnerable against 2vs1's.

eco: 4/5
attacking: 4/5
verdict: contenders top 5

7 SUICIDE SQUAD (5368)
nw after deduction of planets: 13193
This fam had a decent start with some banker activity, but since then they have dropped in the ranks, probably due to inactive reccies. I can't say I recognize anyone in this fam, except RedLink and... Arganon. RedLink's tendency to go inactive and Arganon's... being Arganon may only hinder this fam more, which is why I don't see this fam doing very well. Waste of a good map spot really tongue.

eco: 3/5
attacking: 2/5
verdict: pretenders top 10

8 *** n00bs United *** (5372)
nw after deduction of planets: 15159
Decent start, but have dropped in the rankings ever since, seems like they're lacking directions. Map position is decent, with room to explore to the east and south. Notable names include WL, Firefox and TBO. Now just to wait until TBO tries to kill his own fam again and gets killed in the process big_smile (sadly, I doubt it'll happen sad ) They have a decent eco and may be able to turn things around.

eco: 4/5
attacking: 3/5
verdict: pretenders top 5, contenders top 10

9 Pixies is pretty damn GREAT (5364)
nw after deduction of planets: 12306
Last rounds Insanity Clan, known primarily for having long ass discussions in forums (even leading to a favorite forum posting award for matthang, for all the wrong reasons!) they have Beers, Pixies, Kujjer, Amsterdam, Killas and Matthang in their fam, which gives them a good lineup. However, their eco is slacking and they are falling behind. Map position could've been better, but could've been worse: they still have room to expand to the west, if other fams permit. Their leader sounds confident however, and they put trust in their allies (whoever they are). We'll see whether these are based on anything this round.

eco: 2/5
attacking: 4/5
verdict: pretenders top 5, contenders top 10

10 help??? (5367)
nw after deduction of planets: 11503
After a great start, the fam started to struggle in their eco, this fam hasn't been doing good up and till now. Only people i recognize are Lime and Charlie Sheen. As it stands now they're just wasting the best map position in the gal. To be honest, their fam name says it all: they need help to get back on track.

eco: 1/5
attacking: ???
verdict: pretenders top 10

11 Homosexuals (5365)
nw after deduction of planets: 12841
Seem inactive, fail start even though they have  a few notable people, such as Ariana/Amar and Airwing. Perhaps after the first 48 hours are over they can kill their inactives and hopefully land some good, active, players, but for now it just looks like they're gonna have a laid back round of doing nothing, which it seems they have been doing so far (nothing, that is).

eco: 2/5
attacking: 4/5
verdict: pretenders top 10, unless they land some active randoms, then pretenders top 5, contenders top 10.
